- • Senior Events Marketing Manager at Clutch Technologies, Inc. is a high-impact, autonomous role responsible for building and owning the company’s external events program from the ground up, transforming it into a strategic, revenue-driving channel that directly supports pipeline generation, brand presence, and customer engagement through conferences, field marketing, customer events, and sponsorships.
- • The role demands full ownership of event strategy, planning, execution, and measurement, with accountability for aligning events with broader go-to-market (GTM) goals, managing cross-functional stakeholders without direct team support, and operating with significant travel (up to 50%) to deliver flagship activations on-site.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting a comprehensive audit of the existing events program within the first 3 months to identify gaps and quick wins; building and maintaining a master events calendar across all event types; establishing vendor and venue partnerships; defining KPIs and reporting frameworks; independently executing 2–3 flagship events end-to-end by month 6; developing repeatable playbooks and SOPs; creating a sponsorship evaluation framework for maximum ROI; aligning event outcomes with Sales and Marketing pipeline goals; scaling to a full-year events calendar by month 9 that drives measurable pipeline, brand awareness, and customer engagement; launching at least one net-new event format; delivering data-backed post-mortems and optimization plans; and serving as the internal authority on events strategy, budget management, and stakeholder alignment.
- • The Marketing team at Clutch is small but mighty, operating with a culture of collaboration, respect, and efficiency, supporting each other to deliver exceptional customer experiences as the company scales; this role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure events are integrated into broader GTM motions and contribute directly to business objectives.
- • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in B2B event strategy within the SaaS and fintech sectors, master end-to-end event lifecycle management from concept to post-event analysis, build scalable systems and processes from scratch, gain influence without authority by partnering with senior stakeholders, refine data-driven decision-making frameworks for event ROI, and position themselves as a strategic leader capable of transforming events into a predictable pipeline channel — all while enjoying high autonomy and the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on Clutch’s market presence.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience owning and executing events in fast-paced environments, preferably in SaaS and/or fintech industries
- • Proven ability to build and own multi-format external events strategies that align with business goals, not just execute logistics
- • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership to align events with pipeline and GTM objectives without direct team support
- • Demonstrated expertise in project and budget management, including owning complex timelines and budgets end-to-end for multiple simultaneous events
- • Experience sourcing, negotiating with, and managing external vendors, venues, agencies, AV, and catering partners to ensure quality outcomes
- • Sponsorship and activation expertise: ability to evaluate, negotiate, and maximize ROI from third-party sponsorships and brand activations
- • Data-driven mindset: comfort defining KPIs, tracking performance, and translating insights into actionable strategy improvements
- • Adaptability and scrappiness: ability to context-switch between high-level strategy and on-the-ground execution in dynamic environments
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: capable of influencing without authority and keeping senior leaders informed and aligned
