- • Perform advanced clearance activities for complex cases and serve as a resource for escalated issues.
- • Ensure adherence to regulatory and payer requirements while supporting revenue cycle objectives through accurate and timely clearance and proactive financial engagement.
- • Conduct detailed reviews of patient accounts to identify and resolve complex insurance issues.
- • Address high-cost or specialized services requiring advanced knowledge of payer rules.
- • Collaborate with clinical and scheduling teams to address barriers impacting clearance.
- • Provide training and guidance to less experienced team members on processes and compliance.
- • Mentor colleagues to build expertise and support onboarding and ongoing development initiatives.
- • Serve as a subject matter expert for financial clearance processes and create and update standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- • Monitor changes in payer requirements and update internal procedures accordingly.
- • Prepare reports on clearance outcomes and trends for leadership review.
- • Oversee complex point-of-service collection efforts and initiate outbound calls for high-dollar or escalated financial discussions with patients.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or healthcare administration.
- • 3-5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a focus on financial clearance.
- • Advanced knowledge of payer rules and regulations.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
