- • MUBI, a global leader in streaming, production, and distribution dedicated to celebrating and elevating great cinema, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our London HQ.
- • As MUBI continues its ambitious international expansion, this pivotal role will be instrumental in nurturing, evolving, and scaling our financial operations to support our next phase of growth.
- • You will lead and mentor a small but critical team, fostering a culture of operational excellence and collaborative leadership within a growing, multi-entity global business.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to partner closely with colleagues across Accounting, Reporting, and various departments to build a future-fit Finance function.

- • The role operates under a hybrid working model, requiring presence in our London office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), with flexibility to utilize the office on other days.
- • Key Responsibilities and Impact Areas:
- • End-to-End Oversight of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Payroll:
- • Take full ownership and provide strategic oversight for the Accounts Payable (Procure to Pay) and Payroll functions, ensuring consistently high standards of service, accuracy, and timeliness.
- • Implement and refine robust processes to manage the entire P2P cycle, from vendor onboarding and purchase order creation to invoice processing, payment execution, and reconciliation.
- • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all payroll activities across MUBI's global entities, adhering to local regulations and best practices.
- • Financial Controls and Compliance:
- • Design, implement, and maintain strong financial controls across both Procure to Pay and Payroll processes to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- • Act as a reliable and proactive Finance contact for internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and facilitating smooth audit processes.
- • Continuously assess and enhance the control environment to adapt to MUBI's evolving business needs and international footprint.
- • Purchase Order (PO) System Implementation and Management:
- • Co-create, champion, and implement a company-wide Purchase Order (PO) system, working collaboratively with stakeholders across all business units.
- • Partner closely with department heads and budget owners to ensure the PO system supports budget health, enhances visibility, and provides a user-friendly experience.
- • Drive adoption and provide ongoing support and training for the PO system, ensuring its effective utilization across the organization.
- • Process Improvement and Scalability:
- • Foster the ongoing development and optimization of Finance Operations as MUBI scales internationally.
- • Leverage data analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and collective feedback to identify areas for improvement in process design, execution, and adherence.
- • Proactively identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy.
- • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- • Provide supportive and empowering leadership to the Finance Operations team, supervising workflows, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
- • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth, building their confidence, and enhancing their capabilities in financial operations.
- • Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages continuous learning and high performance.
- • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
- • Cultivate and maintain strong, constructive working relationships with colleagues across all departments, suppliers, and external partners.
- • Represent the Finance department with clarity, professionalism, and a pragmatic approach in all interactions.
- • Serve as a key Finance contact for supplier onboarding, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management.
- • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- • Monitor, analyze, and refine key operational KPIs related to P2P, Payroll, and other financial operations.
- • Utilize insights derived from KPI analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance efficiency, ensure accuracy, and elevate the overall stakeholder experience.
- • Innovation and Smarter Working:
- • Collaborate on identifying and implementing smarter ways of working, guiding the team's approach to adopting new technologies, including automation and AI tools, to ensure they effectively serve the business.
- • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in financial operations and technology to drive innovation within the team.
- • Contribution to Finance Function Development:
- • Play an active role in shaping the broader Finance function, contributing to strategic initiatives and ensuring Finance Operations aligns with MUBI's overall business objectives.
- • Support the integration of financial operations with other finance disciplines, such as accounting and reporting, to create a seamless and efficient financial ecosystem.
