📋 Description

• Senior Forward Deployed Engineer at Parafin Inc. is a product-focused software engineering role that operates at the intersection of partner delivery and core platform development, driving high-complexity integrations that enable small businesses to access financial tools through platforms like DoorDash, Amazon, and Worldpay.
• The role involves owning technical delivery for complex partner launches end-to-end, acting as the engineering lead to scope, sequence, and drive work across teams, while also shipping and contributing code to the core product to scale features that drive partner growth and adoption.
• Parafin is a tight-knit, mission-driven team of innovators from companies like Stripe, Square, Plaid, Coinbase, and CERN, backed by top-tier VCs and having raised over $194M in equity and $340M in debt facilities, all united by a passion for building tools that help small businesses succeed.
• In this role, you will design new integration patterns and systems, partner closely with Sales, GTM, Product, and engineering teams to align on scope and reduce rework, and identify and remove friction in integrations through new features and improved tooling — gaining deep exposure to both external partner dynamics and internal platform evolution while making tangible impact on scalable financial infrastructure.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality code
• Experience building end-to-end backend systems with flexibility to work across the stack
• Excellent communication skills to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability and desire to represent Parafin with external partners
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to execute and drive progress in ambiguous environments
