• Join Super Dispatch as a Senior Frontend Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the auto transport industry. You will be instrumental in building and enhancing our cutting-edge platform, which serves both carriers and shippers across the United States. As a key member of an agile, autonomous, cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA engineers to tackle complex challenges and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Our comprehensive suite of tools, including the Carrier TMS, Shipper TMS, SuperPay, and the innovative Super Loadboard, are meticulously designed to streamline operations and make auto transport as effortless as possible. We leverage the latest industry trends, data-driven insights, and user-centric features to empower our clients, enabling them to achieve peak operational efficiency. • Your responsibilities will encompass the full software development lifecycle for customer-facing web interfaces. This includes architecting robust solutions, designing intuitive user interfaces, meticulously documenting your work, developing high-quality code, refactoring existing systems for optimal performance, deploying applications seamlessly, and ensuring their ongoing operation. You will be a critical contributor to technical projects that span across various teams within Super Dispatch, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• You will be an integral part of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team. This team structure empowers members to take ownership and drive projects forward. Your direct collaborators will include a dedicated Product Manager to define the product vision, a UX Designer to ensure an exceptional user experience, a Backend Engineer to integrate with server-side logic, and a QA Engineer to guarantee the quality and reliability of our products.

• Key responsibilities include:
• Architecting, designing, and developing new features for our customer-facing web applications.
• Collaborating with product and design teams to translate user needs and business requirements into technical solutions.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Implementing robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Refactoring existing codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
• Deploying applications and monitoring their performance in production.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Mentoring junior frontend engineers and contributing to team growth.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and best practices.
• Contributing to technical documentation and architectural decision-making.
• Collaborating with backend engineers to define and consume APIs.
• Ensuring a high level of user experience through attention to detail in UI/UX implementation.
• Participating actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Driving initiatives to improve frontend development processes and tooling.
• Contributing to the evolution of our design system and component library.
• Investigating and implementing solutions for performance optimization and accessibility.
• Working with real-time data through WebSockets and other communication protocols.
• Applying observability practices for debugging, logging, and monitoring client-side applications.
• Communicating technical concepts and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Taking ownership of features from conception through to production deployment and beyond.
• Proactively identifying areas for improvement in the product and technology stack.
• Contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Ensuring the security and integrity of our frontend applications.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments.
• Engaging with the broader engineering community within Super Dispatch to share best practices and foster collaboration.
• Championing frontend best practices and driving adoption of new technologies where appropriate.
• Contributing to the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the frontend platform.
• Ensuring our applications are responsive and performant across a wide range of devices and browsers.
• Collaborating with QA to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participating in the hiring and onboarding of new frontend engineers.
• Driving the adoption of new ECMAScript features and modern JavaScript standards.
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of our backend services if applicable, fostering full-stack understanding.
• Implementing advanced UI features using motion and animation libraries to enhance user engagement.
• Working with cloud messaging patterns to integrate with distributed systems.
• Documenting architectural decisions through ADRs or similar formats to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Leading frontend initiatives and providing technical leadership to the team.
• Ensuring a high standard of code quality through rigorous testing and code reviews.
• Contributing to the overall success and growth of Super Dispatch by delivering exceptional frontend solutions.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years specifically as a Frontend Engineer in a product-driven environment.
• Fluency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with proven experience shipping production-ready applications using the React ecosystem (React, React Router, React Query).
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, HTML, and CSS, with a keen eye for detail in creating user-friendly interfaces.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Vitest, Cypress, Playwright) and a commitment to writing comprehensive tests.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and frontend software architecture, with experience in mentoring and leading frontend initiatives.
• Proficiency in working with REST APIs, handling WebSockets, and understanding frontend-backend integration. Familiarity with debugging, logging, and monitoring client-side applications (observability practices).
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical decisions clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
