- • Senior Frontend Software Engineer role at KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, focused on building user experiences for KAYAK for Business, a corporate travel solution used by millions of travelers daily.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning the end-to-end UI for K4B product features, making architectural decisions, building prototypes, reviewing and scoping feature requests, driving technical debt reduction, refactoring and optimizing code, collaborating with geographically distributed teams, and leveraging modern AI tools to build high-quality user interfaces.
- • KAYAK operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights, and HotelsCombined, with innovation at its core and opportunities like Hack Weeks to explore new ideas; the role is based in the Cambridge, MA office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week.
- • The role offers opportunities to lead technical initiatives, influence product direction, mentor peers, validate decisions with metrics, communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and grow as a leader across teams while shaping the future of travel meta-search technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of meaningful work experience building web applications
- • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math)
- • Deep experience building layouts using CSS and HTML
- • Advanced understanding of JavaScript, ideally with experience using a modern UI framework or library (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- • Experience leveraging AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar) to build high-quality software solutions
- • Ability to work independently on solutions and designs with minimal oversight
