Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

📋 Description

• • Architect, develop, and optimize full-stack applications that power the world’s most trusted software supply-chain security platform. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of features used by 15 million developers and 70 % of the Fortune 100, translating complex security and dependency-management problems into elegant, scalable software.
• • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native microservices and RESTful / event-driven APIs that process billions of open-source component queries per month. You will make critical architectural decisions on service boundaries, data models, and integration patterns that directly influence system performance, cost, and reliability.
• • Craft pixel-perfect, accessible, and lightning-fast front-end experiences in React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js. You will collaborate with UX designers and product managers to turn wireframes into intuitive interfaces that help security teams visualize risk, generate SBOMs, and remediate vulnerabilities in real time.
• • Build resilient backend services in Java, Node.js, Python, or Go, leveraging PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra for optimal data storage and retrieval. You will tune queries, implement caching layers, and design sharding strategies to ensure sub-second response times at global scale.
• • Champion secure-coding and supply-chain security best practices across every pull request. From dependency scanning to container hardening, you will embed security into the SDLC and mentor teammates on OWASP, SLSA, and CIS benchmarks.
• • Drive DevOps excellence by containerizing services with Docker, orchestrating them on Kubernetes (EKS / GKE / AKS), and automating infrastructure via Terraform and Ansible. You will evolve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD) to achieve fully automated, zero-downtime deployments multiple times per day.
• • Collaborate in a truly cross-functional, remote-first agile squad that includes product managers, designers, QA, and SREs. You will participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and blameless post-mortems, ensuring transparent communication and rapid iteration.
• • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and brown-bag sessions. Your guidance will shape the next generation of Sonatype’s engineering talent and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• • Ensure 99.9 % uptime and world-class performance by implementing proactive monitoring, distributed tracing, and chaos-engineering practices. You will own on-call rotations, incident response, and capacity planning for services that protect the global software supply chain.
• • Continuously improve engineering workflows by experimenting with new tools, languages, and methodologies. Whether evaluating WebAssembly for edge computing or adopting AI-driven static analysis, you will stay ahead of industry trends and inject innovation into Sonatype’s DNA.
