  • • As a Senior Human Resources Compliance Analyst at Centene Corporation, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws while supporting the health and well-being of 28 million members across diverse communities. Your expertise will directly contribute to mitigating compliance risks, strengthening HR governance, and ensuring operational consistency across a national, highly regulated healthcare organization.
  • • Day to day, you will independently monitor HR programs, processes, and documentation to assess compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, identifying trends, gaps, and emerging risks; develop and enhance HR compliance communications and training initiatives, providing subject matter expertise to the People Team, people leaders, and employees; serve as a subject matter resource for HR compliance risk areas by translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance; oversee internal and external HR compliance audit responses by preparing documentation, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and driving timely completion of deliverables and remediation actions; provide senior-level advisory guidance to HR and business stakeholders on complex HR compliance questions, applying regulatory requirements and partnering with Legal for interpretation of laws and regulations; independently maintain and continuously improve HR compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and required records, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards; lead routine and targeted audits of HR programs and processes (e.g., onboarding, I-9s, training compliance), providing analysis, documenting findings, and recommending risk-mitigating improvements; monitor regulatory developments and proactively assess potential impacts to HR policies, practices, and programs; monitor and triage HR compliance inquiries received through shared mailboxes or ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution, appropriate escalation, and consistent application of guidance; track and manage compliance deadlines, mandatory training requirements, regulatory reporting, and certification expirations, escalating risks as needed; conduct in-depth research on federal, state, and local HR compliance requirements, prepare impact assessments, and provide recommendations to HR leadership and stakeholders regarding compliance implications; lead the development, rollout, and tracking of employee notices, policy updates, and compliance-related communications, ensuring consistency and regulatory alignment; collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and People Team stakeholders to identify compliance gaps, analyze root causes, and support development of remediation and process improvement plans; provide guidance and informal mentorship to Compliance Analysts, supporting knowledge transfer and consistency across the HR Compliance team; and execute additional responsibilities aligned with HR Compliance program needs, including performing other duties as assigned and complying with all policies and standards.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • • 3+ years of progressive experience in HR compliance, regulatory oversight, or a related field
  • • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • • Proven experience partnering cross-functionally and exercising independent judgment in a compliance environment
  • • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex compliance matters (preferred)
  • • Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated industry (preferred)
  • • Experience supporting audit readiness, regulatory reporting, and compliance monitoring initiatives (preferred)
