- • Operate and scale GKE clusters powering CoinTracker’s consumer webapp and Nino AI product using KEDA-driven autoscaling tied to product-specific load metrics to handle tax season traffic spikes.
- • Manage PostgreSQL/AlloyDB database infrastructure including primary instances, read pools, connection pooling via PgBouncer, and PSC networking to ensure system stability during peak tax season (Jan–Apr).
- • Maintain Redis caching layers for session and data caching at scale under high-concurrency conditions.
- • Implement and maintain GitOps pipelines using Helm charts for consistent, image-driven deployments across staging and production environments with zero-downtime rolling updates.
- • Streamline CI/CD workflows to reduce deployment lead time by 50%, enabling new features—including AI experiments—to ship from staging to production in under one hour.
- • Establish and operationalize GCP infrastructure for AI/ML experiments, provisioning resources to support product team initiatives in machine learning-driven financial planning.
- • Develop and manage Terraform modules for infrastructure-as-code, ensuring disciplined state management and reproducible environments across teams.
- • Implement observability using OpenTelemetry: configure monitors, dashboards, metric routing with PII stripping, and Pub/Sub export for real-time system insights.
- • Secure platform infrastructure using Cloudflare, Cloud Armor WAF, CloudOrigin CA TLS certificates, and GCP Secret Manager integrated via External Secrets for secrets management.
- • Partner with backend and AI engineering teams to provision and maintain isolated staging environments that enable rapid experimentation and feature shipping without infrastructure bottlenecks.
- • Design and enforce SLO/SLI-based alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues before users are impacted, ensuring 99.9%+ uptime during critical tax season periods.
- • Perform database performance tuning including read pool optimization, connection pooling validation under load, and automated detection of performance regressions.
- • Maintain and enhance Helm charts for multi-environment deployments, ensuring consistency and reliability across development, staging, and production.
- • Automate infrastructure validation and promotion gates to prevent regressions and ensure compliance with operational standards before production releases.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure solutions that directly impact user experience.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep hands-on experience with GCP — GKE, AlloyDB/CloudSQL, Redis, Pub/Sub, GCS, Secret Manager, IAM
- • Strong Terraform skills — module development, state management, infrastructure-as-code discipline
- • Kubernetes proficiency — cluster management, Workload Identity, autoscaling, PodDisruptionBudgets, node pools
- • Database operations at scale — PostgreSQL/AlloyDB read pools, connection pooling (PgBouncer), capacity planning
- • High-traffic webapp experience — handling seasonal traffic spikes, zero-downtime deploys, rapid rollback
- • Monitoring and observability — alerting strategies, SLO/SLI definition
