- • As a Senior IT Audit Professional at Humana Inc., you will be instrumental in safeguarding the company's information systems and ensuring compliance with robust policies, procedures, and standards. This role involves developing, planning, and executing comprehensive internal audit programs specifically focused on information technology and its associated processes. You will tackle moderately complex to highly complex issues, requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of a wide range of variable factors within a dynamic enterprise environment.
- • Your primary focus will be on assessing and strengthening Humana's cybersecurity posture, technology governance, and emerging technology risks. You will operate within a large, diverse, and technically challenging landscape, evaluating intricate systems, distributed architectures, and rapidly evolving technologies. A key aspect of your role will be to ensure that controls are not only designed effectively but also operating as intended and are strategically aligned with Humana's overarching policy and business objectives.
- • You will conduct IT audit and cybersecurity-focused consulting engagements, meticulously evaluating application, infrastructure, and cloud environments. These engagements will adhere to established audit methodologies and be completed within defined budgetary and timeframes, demanding a high degree of technical judgment and precision.
- • The execution of IT audit procedures will be a core responsibility, encompassing detailed planning, conducting walkthroughs, performing control testing, analyzing data, and thoroughly documenting all findings. This will occur in complex environments where a deep understanding of technology and risk is paramount.
- • You will apply advanced professional IT audit concepts, leverage established cybersecurity frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and utilize standard audit techniques including control testing, data analysis, and comprehensive risk assessments.
- • A significant part of your role will involve reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting IT, security, and operational data. The goal is to identify control gaps, technology risks, and vulnerabilities within Humana's governance, risk, and control (GRC) environment, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and technology operations.
- • You will audit and evaluate cybersecurity controls across a vast and intricate technology landscape. This includes assessing controls related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), identity and access management (IAM) systems, distributed infrastructure, network architectures, and enterprise applications.
- • Proactively assess emerging risks, including those associated with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) technologies, ongoing cloud transformations, identity modernization initiatives, data governance frameworks, and evolving threat vectors. Your insights will be crucial in anticipating and mitigating future risks.
- • Identify control weaknesses, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and pinpoint root causes. You will then prepare clear, concise, and actionable draft audit issues that accurately reflect the impact, likelihood, and risk alignment of each finding.
- • Recommend security-focused improvements to ensure that identified risks are effectively mitigated, contributing directly to the enhancement of Humana's security posture.
- • Clearly and concisely communicate the results of IT audit and cybersecurity engagements through well-structured written reports and engaging presentations to management. A critical skill will be your ability to translate complex technical risks into business-relevant impacts that resonate with leadership.
- • Prepare and disseminate risk-focused audit reports and actionable recommendations for management, effectively translating deep technical issues into understandable business insights.
- • You will leverage cutting-edge AI and automation tools to enhance audit risk assessment processes, streamline testing procedures, and document process improvements for potential department-wide adoption, driving efficiency and innovation within the audit function.
- • This role requires a self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player with an optimistic and cooperative attitude.
- • You will be expected to manage multiple or competing priorities effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- • The position demands excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- • Strong implementation and execution capabilities, coupled with well-developed critical thinking skills, are essential for success in this role.
- • You will need to demonstrate an aptitude for building and maintaining effective working relationships with associates across the department and the broader business units.
- • A passion for contributing to an organization dedicated to continuously improving consumer experiences is highly valued.
- • While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required, underscoring the need for flexibility.
