📋 Description

• As a Senior/Lead AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at CI&T, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This pivotal role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities to guide projects and mentor junior engineers. You will be instrumental in driving our clients' digital transformation journeys by leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and best practices.
• You will be responsible for architecting cloud environments that meet stringent performance, availability, and cost-efficiency requirements. This includes selecting appropriate AWS services, defining network topologies, implementing robust security controls, and establishing effective monitoring and logging strategies.
• A key aspect of your role will involve automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. This automation focus is critical for enabling rapid iteration, ensuring consistency, and reducing manual errors.
• You will play a crucial role in optimizing cloud resource utilization and costs. This involves analyzing usage patterns, identifying areas for optimization, implementing cost-saving measures, and advising clients on best practices for cloud financial management (FinOps).
• Collaboration will be central to your success. You will work closely with development teams, security specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure solutions align with application requirements and organizational security policies. You will also contribute to defining and enforcing cloud governance standards.
• You will be expected to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. This requires a proactive approach to identifying potential problems and a systematic methodology for resolving them.
• As a Senior/Lead engineer, you will mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. You will also contribute to the development of internal best practices and standards for cloud infrastructure engineering.
• You will stay abreast of the latest advancements in AWS services and cloud technologies, evaluating their potential impact and applicability to our clients' needs. This includes exploring new services, features, and architectural patterns to enhance our offerings.
• You will be involved in capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery strategy development to ensure the resilience and scalability of cloud environments.
• The role involves participating in architectural reviews, providing expert advice on cloud strategy, and contributing to the technical roadmap for cloud initiatives.
• You will ensure compliance with industry regulations and security best practices, implementing necessary controls and audit trails.
• You will be a champion for DevOps principles, promoting collaboration between development and operations teams, and driving the adoption of CI/CD practices.
• Your responsibilities will extend to managing and maintaining containerization platforms like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (EKS) to support modern application deployments.
• You will actively participate in incident response, providing technical leadership during critical events and ensuring swift resolution.
• You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure services, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, building, and managing complex, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Deep understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, EKS, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring/logging tools within a cloud environment.
