• • Diagnose and extinguish fires before they start: when an alert fires at 03:00, you are the calm expert who triages, contains, and permanently fixes root causes. You will build runbooks, post-mortems, and automated guardrails so the same class of incident never wakes anyone again.
• • Plan and execute zero-downtime maintenance windows: from kernel live-patching to storage array firmware upgrades, you will choreograph changes across Dell and HPE bare-metal fleets, Kubernetes clusters, and multi-region networks with surgical precision and transparent communication.
• • Turn chaos into clarity through observability: extend our Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana stack with new SLIs, golden signals, and self-healing alerts that predict disk exhaustion or memory pressure days in advance. Your dashboards become the single pane of glass for executives, engineers, and support alike.
• • Automate everything that moves—and a few things that don’t: write idiomatic Bash, Python, or Go tools; craft Ansible playbooks and Terraform modules that provision VLANs, RAID arrays, and K8s namespaces at the push of a pipeline. Each line of code you ship saves hours of human toil every week.
• • Document tribal knowledge into living runbooks: distill hard-won troubleshooting wisdom into Markdown, Confluence, and code comments so new teammates become productive in days, not months. You will host internal lightning talks and pair-programming sessions to multiply your impact across the Infrastructure and SRE squads.
• • Collaborate asynchronously across time zones: partner with Site Reliability Engineers in Europe, Network Engineers in South America, and Product teams in Asia to align infrastructure improvements with business OKRs. Your crisp English prose in Slack threads and incident channels keeps everyone synchronized without meetings.
• • Mentor and be mentored: whether you are debugging a cgroups leak or debating the merits of Ceph vs. Longhorn, you will both teach junior admins and learn from senior architects. We invest in your growth with global conferences, certification budgets, and dedicated 20 % learning time.
