Senior Manager, Accounting

📋 Description

• • Lead and coordinate the global month-end and quarter-end close process across regional finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP
• • Own the month-end accruals process, partnering with procurement and FP&A to ensure quality and accuracy in operating expense close activities
• • Oversee reconciliations, monthly flux analyses, and management reporting to ensure accuracy and provide meaningful commentary
• • Ensure general ledger (GL) design integrity and system integration functionality; partner with IT and business teams to troubleshoot and improve data flows into the GL
• • Own intercompany accounting and multi-currency consolidation under ASC 810 and ASC 830, including foreign exchange translation, remeasurement, and elimination entries
• • Contribute to monthly financial reporting and present results to finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
• • Own accounting for technical areas including capitalized software (ASC 350-40), leases (ASC 842), and capitalized commissions (ASC 606/340-40)
• • Develop deep understanding of end-to-end operational, financial, and systemic environments driving financial outcomes
• • Lead accounting automation, standardization, and workflow optimization initiatives, including contributions to system implementations and process transformations
• • Embrace AI adoption to enhance close processes, reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial reporting
• • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of corporate accountants to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
• • Partner with financial reporting teams on external financial statement preparation and footnote disclosures
• • Serve as a key point of contact for year-end audit activities and external auditors
• • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and operational teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and support business initiatives
• • Maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
• • Manage accounting for payroll and benefits across multiple countries and currencies in a global organization
• • Utilize advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Suite and NetSuite to execute accounting workflows
• • Apply working knowledge of FloQast, Expensify, and Zip, or similar applications to streamline accounting processes
• • Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to automate and enhance accounting workflows
• • Operate effectively across global time zones to support a distributed finance team
• • Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems, controls, and reporting standards to support rapid company growth
