  • • Lead two strategically critical AI engineering product surfaces: the AI-Native Intelligence Dashboard and Payments & Monetization systems, ensuring they deliver measurable, customer-visible impact through AI-powered capabilities.
  • • Transform the AI-Native Intelligence Dashboard into an AI-first experience featuring proactive risk insights, natural language querying, automated remediation prioritization, and measurable reduction in Mean Time to Remediate (MTTR).
  • • Oversee the team responsible for researcher payments and consumption-based billing, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure monetization operations that support global security researchers.
  • • Manage and mentor a team of Engineering Managers and senior engineers, fostering scalable systems and practices that enable autonomous, high-performing AI delivery.
  • • Own end-to-end execution across multiple AI engineering teams, ensuring delivery commitments are met, cross-team dependencies are actively managed, and accountability for customer outcomes is maintained.
  • • Drive an AI-First engineering culture by embedding agentic AI workflows, responsible AI practices, and automated decision-making into product design, development, and operations.
  • • Guide teams through evolving AI technologies, shifting security threats, and dynamic product priorities while maintaining team health, clarity, and momentum.
  • • Apply first-principles problem solving to complex AI and product challenges, designing durable, scalable solutions rather than short-term workarounds.
  • • Leverage data-driven decision making to assess system performance, AI model quality, delivery outcomes, and operational health, using evidence to prioritize initiatives and improvements.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Data, Security Research, and other Engineering leaders to align AI engineering efforts with company strategy and customer needs.
  • • Reflect HackerOne’s Flexible Work philosophy by operating remotely within ~50 miles of Boston, MA; Austin, TX; or Washington, DC, with in-office presence typically on Thursdays to foster collaboration and culture.
  • • Uphold HackerOne’s core values: Customer Obsession, Default to Disclosure, and Win Together, ensuring transparency, accountability, and inclusion in all engineering decisions and team interactions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience managing product engineering teams, including teams delivering AI-powered or data-intensive systems
  • • Demonstrated experience leading teams with complex dependencies across engineering, product, and non-technical partners
  • • Experience developing and mentoring Engineering Managers
  • • Strong technical foundation in modern software systems that support AI-enabled products
  • • Experience building or scaling applied AI systems in production environments (preferred)
  • • Familiarity with human-in-the-loop, agentic, or automation-driven workflows (preferred)
