- • Own the end-to-end marketing calendar for Colors Kannada, translating national brand objectives into hyper-local strategies that resonate with Bengaluru and other high-impact urban towns. You will orchestrate 360-degree campaigns that marry ATL media planning (TV, print, radio, OOH) with BTL activations (mall kiosks, college fests, apartment drives, influencer meets) to create a surround-sound experience for the Kannada-speaking audience.
- • Act as the single-threaded owner of the channel’s P&L for marketing spends, preparing annual, quarterly, and show-launch budgets, tracking ROI weekly, and reallocating funds in real time to maximise reach, GRPs, and cost per contact. You will negotiate rates with media-buying agencies, secure premium inventory in prime-time slots, and ensure every rupee spent is accountable through post-campaign analytics.
- • Lead a cross-functional squad of creative, digital, programming, and research executives to identify the most marketable stories from our fiction, non-fiction, and movie slate. Translate these insights into launch blueprints: teaser films, outdoor dominations, meme marketing, on-ground stunts, and retail visibility programs that turn every new show into a cultural moment.
- • Deep-dive into geo-behavioural data to map micro-markets—down to the pin-code level—where Colors Kannada over-indexes or under-performs. Design bespoke interventions such as van campaigns in Tier-2 towns, apartment screenings in tech corridors, or temple-festival integrations in rural clusters to drive sampling and loyalty.
- • Build and nurture a robust ecosystem of partners: local cable operators, MSOs, dabbawala networks, Kirana store chains, colleges, stand-up comedians, food-delivery apps, and auto-rickshaw unions. Leverage these alliances for co-branded contests, ticket giveaways, and sampling drives that amplify reach beyond traditional media.
- • Monitor the pulse of the Kannada consumer through continuous primary research (focus groups, ethnographies) and social listening. Translate insights into sharp briefs for creative teams, ensuring taglines, visuals, and activations feel native to Bengaluru’s cosmopolitan vibe as well as Mysuru’s heritage charm.
- • Organise and supervise 50+ small-format virtual and live events every year—press meets, fan screenings, influencer roundtables, campus activations—ensuring flawless execution, maximum attendance from core TG, and seamless amplification across Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp statuses.
- • Champion the brand’s offline visibility by auditing and optimising 2,000+ retail touchpoints every quarter: standees at kirana stores, bus-shelter panels, café table-tops, and gym screens. Ensure consistent look-and-feel, timely replacements, and compliance with brand guidelines while negotiating zero-cost barter deals.
- • Serve as the face of Colors Kannada to external stakeholders—ad agencies, PR firms, talent managers, and government bodies—articulating the channel’s vision, securing sponsorship integrations, and protecting brand reputation during crises.
- • Mentor a team of 3–4 marketing executives, setting KPIs, running weekly stand-ups, and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and data-driven decision-making. Conduct quarterly capability workshops on storytelling, budget management, and Kannada pop-culture trends to keep the squad future-ready.
