- • As a Senior Manager, Commercial IT at Dexcom, you will be instrumental in shaping the technological future of our Sales, Marketing, and Service departments. This pivotal role involves leading the technology roadmap, acting as the primary business partner to our Commercial leadership team, and translating ambitious business objectives into scalable, robust technology solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire ecosystem of applications that directly drive revenue, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation platforms, while ensuring unwavering adherence to the stringent regulatory requirements inherent in the Medical Device industry, such as HIPAA, GDPR, the Sunshine Act, and GxP standards.
- • Your strategic vision will guide the development and implementation of technology solutions that support Dexcom's growth, including new product launches, expansion into new territories, and increased market penetration. You will conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to pinpoint areas ripe for automation, digitalization, and overall efficiency enhancements, thereby optimizing commercial operations.
- • A key responsibility will be the meticulous management of the Commercial IT budget, encompassing Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operational Expenditure (OpEx) planning, software licensing agreements, and critical vendor contract negotiations. This ensures that technological investments are strategically aligned with business goals and deliver maximum value.
- • You will take ownership of the architecture, development, and ongoing maintenance of the core Commercial technology stack, with a primary focus on leading platforms like Salesforce.com (SFDC) or Veeva CRM. This includes ensuring these systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and user adoption.
- • Furthermore, you will oversee the seamless integration of marketing automation platforms (such as Marketo, HubSpot, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud) with the CRM system. This integration is crucial for establishing a fluid and efficient lead-to-revenue process, ensuring that marketing efforts are effectively captured and converted into sales opportunities.
- • The role also involves managing and optimizing field sales tools, with a strong emphasis on mobile capabilities for iPad and tablet devices. This ensures that sales representatives have immediate access to critical Health Care Professional (HCP) data and inventory management systems while in the field, enhancing their productivity and effectiveness.
- • Collaboration with Data Engineering teams is essential for delivering actionable dashboards and comprehensive reporting using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Einstein Analytics. These insights will be vital for sales forecasting, monitoring pipeline health, and evaluating territory performance, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- • You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of customer master data, including Health Care Professionals (HCPs), Health Care Organizations (HCOs), and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs)/Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). This includes managing the complex data integration between Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (like SAP or Oracle) and the CRM, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across the organization.
- • A critical aspect of this role is ensuring that all commercial systems strictly comply with global regulatory standards. This includes, but is not limited to, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, HIPAA, and the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, which governs transparency in payments to healthcare providers.
- • You will lead validation efforts for GxP-impacted systems, where applicable, and maintain comprehensive, audit-ready documentation to demonstrate compliance. This rigorous approach ensures the reliability and integrity of systems that affect product quality and patient safety.
- • Implementing and enforcing strict data governance and security protocols is paramount, particularly concerning sensitive patient data and intellectual property, safeguarding Dexcom's valuable assets and customer trust.
- • You will lead and mentor a dedicated team of internal business analysts, developers, and system administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Your leadership will be key to developing talent and ensuring the team's success.
- • Additionally, you will manage external managed service providers (MSPs) and implementation partners, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This requires strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of MedTech sales cycles, GPO contracting, and HCP engagement models, coupled with exceptional change management capabilities to drive adoption of new tools among a diverse, often non-technical, field sales force. Excellent executive presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to commercial stakeholders are also essential for success in this dynamic role.
