  • • As the Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence (CI) at Fleetio, you will be the pivotal force driving our understanding and execution of market competition. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you will not only shape the strategic direction of our competitive intelligence efforts but also directly deliver the critical insights that empower our go-to-market teams to win.
  • • You will serve as the company's foremost subject matter expert in competitive intelligence, fostering close collaboration across Marketing, Sales, Enablement, and Product departments. Your mission is to ensure our teams are consistently equipped with the knowledge and strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
  • • Your responsibilities will span the entire spectrum of competitive intelligence, from conducting deep-dive analyses of competitor offerings, pricing, messaging, and go-to-market tactics, to developing and maintaining essential CI deliverables such as battlecards, competitive playbooks, win/loss reports, and strategic analyses.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves maintaining a real-time, AI-powered view of competitors and market categories, leveraging advanced tools like Klue and other integrated platforms to ensure our intelligence is always current and actionable.
  • • You will establish and refine a structured, repeatable process for the collection, organization, and dissemination of competitive insights, ensuring that valuable information flows seamlessly across all relevant teams.
  • • Beyond intelligence gathering, you will translate these insights into tangible, actionable enablement materials. This includes creating and updating battlecards, objection-handling guides, and deal-level strategies that directly support our sales and customer success teams in their daily interactions.
  • • You will partner closely with the Enablement team to guarantee that all competitive content is accurate, up-to-date, and effectively adopted by our field teams, maximizing its impact.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve running training sessions and managing update cycles to instill confidence in our sales and marketing teams regarding how we effectively differentiate ourselves from competitors.
  • • You will manage and administer the Klue platform, taking ownership of content workflows, operational processes, and ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
  • • You will actively utilize automation and AI to scale intelligence updates and significantly accelerate the time-to-insight, ensuring our teams receive information when it's most critical.
  • • You will foster strong cross-functional partnerships, working closely with Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap based on competitive intelligence findings.
  • • You will provide regular, concise competitive updates to executive leadership and key go-to-market stakeholders, keeping them informed of the competitive landscape.
  • • You will act as the central point of contact for all competitive intelligence requests, developing and implementing repeatable workflows to efficiently support Marketing, Sales, Enablement, and Customer Success teams.
  • • A crucial element of your role will be to cultivate a company-wide culture of competitive awareness and contribution, making competitive intelligence accessible, relevant, and actionable for everyone across the organization.
  • • You will define and rigorously report on key success metrics for the CI program, focusing on tangible business outcomes such as competitive win-rate improvement, adoption and usage of competitive enablement materials, and enhanced objection-handling effectiveness and engagement.
  • • You will continuously review program performance, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize systems, automation, and processes for greater efficiency and impact.
  • • You will be encouraged to experiment with new tools, AI workflows, and automation techniques to further enhance the speed, accuracy, and reach of our competitive intelligence efforts.
  • • This role is designed for an individual who possesses a builder's mindset, is curious about the potential of automation and AI in scaling intelligence systems, and thrives in a collaborative, proactive environment. You will be instrumental in growing the CI function, starting as a hands-on operator and evolving to lead a small team as the program expands.
