  • • As a Senior Manager of Configuration Management at RTX, you will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing the processes that govern our engineering and product development lifecycles. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of critical technical data and documentation across various projects.
  • • You will lead project planning and execution activities, focusing on the seamless integration of technical work streams from diverse teams to achieve overarching organizational objectives. This involves a strategic approach to managing dependencies and ensuring cohesive delivery.
  • • A key responsibility will be the implementation of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) proposals, reports, and findings. Your insights will directly support informed operational decision-making and drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • • You will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and interpretation of comprehensive reports. This includes providing secondary approval for expenditures, rigorously enforcing company policies, and making initial, critical decisions regarding the procurement of materials and services, all while adhering strictly to established spending requirements.
  • • Providing expert technical guidance and robust configuration management oversight to engineering teams will be a core function. You will support them across a wide spectrum of tasks, ensuring best practices are followed and standards are met.
  • • You will spearhead the development of sophisticated business and strategic planning processes. This entails defining the long-term organizational direction, charting paths for growth, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
  • • Guiding the establishment of both short-term and long-term organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures will be under your purview. This ensures alignment and strategic focus across all levels.
  • • You will oversee the meticulous analysis, maintenance, and formatting of configuration data and design changes. This critical task ensures the accuracy, consistency, and usability of all managed information.
  • • Ensuring that all configuration-controlled drawings, reports, and engineering documentation are not only complete and accurate but also fully compliant with relevant industry standards and company policies is paramount.
  • • You will manage contract labor purchase orders, ensuring they are perfectly aligned with project needs and budgetary constraints, optimizing resource allocation.
  • • Oversight of outsourced records storage and retrieval services will be another significant area of responsibility. This includes conducting thorough audits of configuration-controlled documentation to maintain compliance and data integrity.
  • • You will foster a collaborative environment, working closely with the Digital Technology Group to drive key system process improvements, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • • Partnering effectively with the drafting teams is essential to meet customer requirements for the timely and accurate implementation of change requests, ensuring client satisfaction and project momentum.
  • • This role demands a proactive leader who can identify opportunities for process enhancement, mentor team members, and foster an environment of collaboration and high performance. You will be a key player in transforming change requests into tangible, successful outcomes, making a significant impact on how work is executed and how our products evolve.
