- • As the first Senior Manager solely focused on data storytelling at Whatnot, you will establish the foundation for how the company leverages its unique platform insights to shape culture, earn media coverage, and define the live shopping category, directly influencing how millions understand and talk about this emerging industry.
- • You will own the end-to-end development of Whatnot’s consumer research and trend report program—from concept and methodology to media-ready packaging and launch—turning platform data, seller behavior, and buyer trends into newsworthy, culturally relevant narratives that position Whatnot as the definitive voice on what’s trending and what’s next.
- • Day to day, you will partner with data, product, and category teams to uncover stories hidden in the numbers, develop press materials including pitch angles and talking points, and serve as the official on-the-record spokesperson for consumer trends, representing Whatnot with press, on camera, and at events.
- • You will build a cadence of trend moments—seasonal, cultural, and category-specific—and create a recurring content franchise (such as a blog or newsletter) that delivers original analysis on categories, seller economics, and the live commerce industry to keep Whatnot in the media conversation year-round.
- • You will translate complex data into sharp, quotable narratives and headlines, using AI tooling and analytical instincts to surface insights that resonate with media and consumers, while building credibility as a go-to expert source on live commerce and consumer behavior.
- • You will join a remote co-located team inspired by Whatnot’s values, anchored in global hubs across the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, and Australia, where you’ll move fast, stay close to users, and focus on work that drives the most impact in one of the fastest-growing marketplaces in North America and Europe.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in live commerce trends, gain visibility as a thought leader in a nascent industry, and shape the narrative around what it means to turn passion into a business through commerce—directly contributing to Whatnot’s mission of enabling anyone to build a business and bring people together.
