📋 Description

• • As a Senior Manager, Database Engineering at Upstart, you will lead the team responsible for the reliability, performance, and scalability of the database systems powering the company’s AI-driven lending platform, ensuring secure and efficient data infrastructure that supports mission-critical financial transactions at scale.
• • Day to day, you will define the roadmap for database engineering, lead and mentor a team of Database Engineers, partner with application and data engineering teams on standards for database design and query optimization, drive improvements in availability, security, and performance, champion automation and tooling for observability and developer self-service, and act as a strategic thought partner to engineering leadership on database strategy and cost efficiency.
