- • Lead and scale a high-performing inside sales team focused on selling Cohere’s frontier AI models to developers and enterprises.
- • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets for AI solutions including natural language processing, generative AI, and agentic AI.
- • Build, mentor, and develop top sales talent through coaching, training, performance reviews, and long-term career growth planning.
- • Optimize sales operations by streamlining workflows, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and win rates across the sales funnel.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, customer success, and finance teams to align sales strategy with broader business objectives.
- • Partner with Solutions Architects and Product Managers to deliver technical demos, proof of concepts, and address complex customer questions about Cohere’s AI platform.
- • Analyze key sales metrics, forecast revenue with accuracy, and provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making at the executive level.
- • Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing inside sales representatives with a focus on scalability and sustainable team growth.
- • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the sales team aligned with company-wide objectives.
- • Conduct regular training sessions to ensure the sales team maintains deep product knowledge of Cohere’s AI capabilities and use cases.
- • Monitor and optimize the sales pipeline to ensure leads are properly qualified and efficiently progressed through conversion stages.
- • Work closely with marketing to refine lead generation campaigns, messaging, and targeting strategies for enterprise and developer audiences.
- • Oversee budget management for the sales team, including allocation for tools, training programs, incentives, and operational expenses.
- • Represent the inside sales function in cross-functional meetings and contribute to high-level strategic planning for revenue growth.
- • Ensure the sales team is technically enabled to articulate the value of Cohere’s AI platform in clear, compelling, and customer-relevant terms.
- • Maintain advanced proficiency and utilization of CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot to track performance, pipeline health, and forecasting accuracy.
- • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the inside sales organization.
- • Support the company’s mission by enabling widespread adoption of AI through effective sales execution and customer education.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of sales leadership experience managing and scaling inside sales teams in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software
- • Demonstrated ability to drive significant revenue growth and consistently exceed sales targets in high-growth environments
- • Strong leadership skills with proven experience mentoring, motivating, and developing high-performing sales talent
- • Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals
- • Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to learn and communicate complex technical platforms effectively
- • Advanced proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
