- • The Senior Manager, International Tax role at OpenAI is critical to ensuring global tax compliance and optimizing the company's tax position as it expands internationally, directly supporting financial integrity and strategic growth.
- • Day to day, you will own the end-to-end international indirect tax compliance lifecycle across VAT, GST, DST, and related regimes, lead registration management, oversee compliance activities, manage external providers, serve as the primary contact for tax audits, and drive process improvements through technology and automation.
- • You will join OpenAI’s Finance team, specifically the Tax function, which works cross-functionally to provide tax insights and strategies that support the company’s mission of ensuring artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in global indirect tax compliance, lead scalable process and technology initiatives, manage high-stakes audit engagements, and influence finance leadership on regulatory developments and risk mitigation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of progressive indirect tax experience, including substantial experience overseeing international indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions within a multinational organization
- • Deep expertise in global indirect tax regimes, including VAT, GST, DST, and related compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions
- • Proven ability to leverage technology, automation, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support the evolution of a global compliance function
