đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Senior Manager of Program Development & Management at Vision Service Plan, you will lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for provider-facing programs, ensuring alignment with brand vision, global sourcing strategy, and business objectives. This role is critical in transforming strategic concepts into market-ready solutions that drive adoption, engagement, and sustainable growth across VSP’s vision care ecosystem.
  • • You will partner closely with design, technical teams, vendor sourcing, manufacturing, and cross-functional stakeholders to define product requirements, manage development timelines, and oversee validation and testing processes. Your leadership ensures that products are not only technically sound and aesthetically aligned but also commercially viable and delivered on schedule.
  • • You will own and drive the business strategy for provider-facing programs, conducting market opportunity analysis, setting measurable goals, and crafting compelling value propositions that differentiate VSP in the marketplace. This includes synthesizing customer insights, competitive intelligence, and internal data to inform go-to-market strategies.
  • • You will utilize data and analytics to measure product performance, identify trends, and refine strategies continuously. By establishing KPIs and monitoring outcomes, you will ensure that initiatives deliver measurable business impact and support iterative improvement.
  • • You will lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance on hiring, training, performance management, and professional development. Your ability to influence without authority and foster collaboration across departments will be key to navigating complex, matrixed environments.
  • • You will maintain deep awareness of vendor capabilities, raw material supplier strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape dynamics. This knowledge enables proactive risk mitigation, informed vendor allocation decisions, and timely resolution of supply chain or production roadblocks.
  • • You will ensure all development activities adhere to corporate calendar requirements, managing dependencies and timelines to prevent delays. When roadblocks arise, you will lead cross-functional efforts to diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions that keep programs on track.
  • • You will manage the cost evaluation process rigorously, validating vendor costing against corporate target margins and challenging discrepancies in partnership with vendor management and finance teams. Your financial acumen ensures profitability without compromising quality or innovation.
  • • You will partner with brand and product teams to design and execute product testing and validation protocols, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards before market launch.
  • • You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and business partners, delivering consultative insights on product issues, strategic trade-offs, and risk mitigation plans with clarity, credibility, and executive presence.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience
  • • Minimum of 3 years of management experience with direct responsibility for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports
  • • Advanced understanding of product development lifecycle concepts, theories, and practices, particularly as applied to vision care, health plan operations, or consumer health products
  • • Proven ability to plan and execute large, complex projects strategically while influencing stakeholders to adapt to changing priorities and drive commitment
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences including senior executives, technical teams, and external partners
  • • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to interpret data, identify root causes, escalate critical issues, and propose risk-mitigated alternatives

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary range of $94,500.00 - $152,250.00, with eligibility for bonuses and commissions based on performance
  • • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans as part of VSP Vision’s total rewards offering
  • • Remote work flexibility within the United States, enabling work-life balance while contributing to a national organization
  • • Access to professional development resources and opportunities for career growth within a stable, mission-driven healthcare company
  • • Employer commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and a drug-free workplace with fair chance hiring practices for qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records
