📋 Description
- • The Senior Manager, Retail Pharmacy & Distribution Partnerships leads strategic, non-demand generating partnerships with prioritized retail pharmacy chains, banners, and distributors across Canada to enable access, availability, and optimal use of Pfizer medicines and vaccines through compliant, above-brand initiatives.
- • Day to day, the role involves leading the design, negotiation, and governance of key pharmacy partnerships; defining agreement frameworks aligned with One Pfizer; serving as a trusted strategic advisor to senior pharmacy and distribution executives; translating national and regional agreements into actionable execution plans; analyzing partnership performance; and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Medical, Market Access, Operations) to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
- • The role sits within Pfizer’s Commercial organization, reporting to the Director, Pharmacy & Strategic Partnerships, and operates as a field-based position across the Ontario region, requiring frequent travel to engage senior stakeholders and drive alignment between Pfizer and retail pharmacy partners.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in Canadian healthcare system dynamics, pharmacy practice evolution, distribution models, and contract negotiation; build influence as a trusted advisor to senior pharmacy leaders; lead multi-stakeholder, national initiatives; and contribute to scalable, innovative partnership frameworks that improve patient access to medicines and vaccines.
🎯 Requirements
- • Relevant University Degree in Business Administration (MBA or equivalent), Health Sciences, Pharmacy, or related discipline
- • Strong negotiation, governance, and executive communication skills with extensive experience in pharmacy partnerships, trade/contracting, or market access/customer strategy
- • Deep knowledge of the Canadian retail pharmacy ecosystem, public and private payer environments, and provincial healthcare system variations
- • Proven success leading complex, national, multi-stakeholder initiatives
- • Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) and superior customer and partnership management competencies
- • Ability to frequently travel and work in a field-based capacity across Ontario
