📋 Description

• As a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance at Airwallex, you will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial trajectory and influencing strategic decisions across the organization, reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Finance and operating at the intersection of strategy, finance, and execution to ensure capital and resources are allocated to the areas that matter most for long-term success.
• You will build and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and day-to-day operational decision-making, while shaping and communicating the company’s financial narrative through materials for investor updates, board presentations, and internal leadership reviews to drive transparency and alignment.
• You will partner with business leaders to evaluate the financial feasibility and strategic implications of key initiatives, including market expansion, product development, and strategic transactions such as partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A, and analyse business performance to identify drivers, surface issues, and drive actions that strengthen execution and enable sustained, profitable growth.
• You will evaluate capital deployment across teams and initiatives, support investment decisions aligned with strategic goals and long-term priorities, and provide financial and strategic support on high-impact, cross-functional projects while improving internal finance processes, reporting, and tools to enhance decision-making and execution discipline across the organization.
• You will support capital markets readiness by building financial scenarios, aligning internal metrics to external positioning, and preparing for potential fundraising or strategic transactions, ensuring Airwallex remains positioned for future growth and scalability.
• You will operate with ownership, sound judgment, and clarity in ambiguity, using AI to work smarter and solve problems faster, while collaborating with exceptional teammates to tackle complex, high-visibility problems and grow your career as we build the future of global banking.
• The Finance & Corporate Development team drives Airwallex’s financial strategy and growth, focusing on financial planning, analysis, and corporate transactions to ensure long-term success, collaborating across departments to identify opportunities, manage risks, and execute strategic initiatives that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime.
• You will develop deep expertise in strategic finance within a high-growth technology environment, gaining exposure to global financial operations, capital markets readiness, and cross-functional leadership, while advancing your ability to turn insight into action and influence decision-making at the highest levels of a US$8 billion-valued company backed by world-leading investors.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience across strategic finance, management consulting, investment banking, or private equity
• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills, with the ability to build and adapt models for strategic and operational decision-making
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex problems, distill business implications, and develop actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and align cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to take ownership and drive end-to-end execution, even in ambiguous or evolving contexts
