- • Are you a seasoned strategic partnerships professional with a passion for driving global growth and a knack for building impactful alliances? Airwallex, the world's only unified payments and financial platform for global businesses, is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships for the Americas to join our ambitious team.
- • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Airwallex's expansion strategy across the Americas by identifying, developing, and managing some of the most significant and complex partnerships globally. You will operate at the forefront of financial technology, working with a diverse range of partners, from leading companies and fintech innovators to financial institutions, all aimed at accelerating Airwallex's mission to empower global businesses.
- • This is a highly cross-functional position, demanding close collaboration with a multitude of internal teams, including Legal, Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and more. You will act as the central orchestrator, quarterbacking impactful commercial and product integrations that are designed to drive significant user adoption and revenue growth. Your ability to translate Airwallex's overarching business objectives into a concrete and compelling partnerships strategy will be key to your success.
- • You will be responsible for developing a comprehensive outbound strategy, meticulously identifying target partners whose objectives and capabilities align synergistically with Airwallex's. This involves not only strategic foresight but also the persuasive communication skills to articulate and champion these mutually beneficial opportunities to both internal and external stakeholders.
- • Building and nurturing robust relationships is at the core of this role. You will establish and maintain strong connections with key executives and decision-makers at partner organizations, fostering trust and understanding. Simultaneously, you will cultivate equally strong relationships with internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, alignment, and buy-in across departments.
- • A significant part of your responsibility will involve leading the scoping of product integrations. This requires a deep understanding of both technical and commercial aspects, enabling you to structure and negotiate partnership agreements and value exchanges that are truly mutually beneficial. You will be adept at identifying and mitigating potential risks, ensuring that all agreements are sound and sustainable.
- • Your deal-making expertise will be put to the test as you craft a variety of deal types, managing partner relationships across diverse verticals, structures, and stages of engagement. This includes everything from the pre-deal exploration and negotiation phase, through the critical implementation process, to the ongoing post-deal partner management, ensuring long-term success and value realization.
- • You will be expected to think strategically, managing complex dynamics and diverse motivations with finesse. Your ability to earn trust and operate effectively within a cross-cultural, global environment, navigating different teams and time zones, is paramount. A strong executive presence, coupled with exceptional communication and presentation skills, will enable you to effectively convey complex ideas and influence outcomes.
- • This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate high-level strategy into actionable plans, comfortable navigating significant ambiguity. You will leverage your quantitative capacity to rigorously measure partnership ROI, understand key performance metrics, and identify optimization levers to ensure continuous improvement and maximum impact.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, product, or related roles
- • Proven track record of strategic thinking and managing complex dynamics and motivations
- • Ability to earn trust and work effectively in a cross-cultural, global environment across teams and time-zones
- • Strong executive presence, including excellent communication and presentation skills
- • Ability to craft product integrations, think through product or commercial nuances
- • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and deal with significant ambiguity
- • Quantitative capacity to measure partnership ROI, understand performance metrics and optimization levers
- • Prior fintech and payments experience (preferred)
- • Prior partnerships and deal making experience (preferred)
