📋 Description

• • Senior ML/AI Modeler role focused on automating Risk and Compliance investigations using agentic and generative AI to enhance analyst productivity and eliminate manual decision loops at Block, Inc.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include experimenting and deploying AI copilot and autopilot systems at scale, owning end-to-end systems involving API calls, prompt tuning, orchestration, metrics, evaluation, productionization, and monitoring, leveraging diverse datasets (payment transactions, user graphs, unstructured text, profiles) to build transformer-based ML models, collaborating cross-functionally with product, platform, engineering, and operations teams to deploy and tune production systems, and using Python ML stack, LLMs, PyTorch, Snowflake, Airflow, GCP, AWS, and agentic tools like Claude Code/Codex/Openclaw for research, development, DevOps, and documentation.
• • The Risk Automation ML team operates within Block’s broader mission of economic empowerment, working globally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure safe user experiences while minimizing fraudulent, suspicious, illegal activity, and brand violations across traditional and blockchain payment networks.
• • This senior IC role offers significant leadership responsibilities, including owning and driving strategic roadmaps and priorities to completion through collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, enabling the candidate to shape the future of Risk Operations at scale while advancing expertise in generative AI, agentic systems, and large-scale ML deployment in a high-impact, innovative environment.
