📋 Description

• Deliver end-to-end ML use cases including recommendation systems, safety algorithms, content moderation models, and behavioral detection systems using large-scale datasets of hundreds of gigabytes.
• Design, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models using PyTorch and Python, ensuring alignment with product, safety, and business objectives.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, and maturity of Yubo’s evolving ML platform by establishing KPIs, monitoring standards, and observability practices for production models.
• Audit, refactor, retrain, and integrate legacy ML models into modern pipelines, particularly in safety and moderation domains.
• Contribute to the development of reusable ML components, tools, and workflows to enhance self-service capabilities across engineering teams.
• Drive improvements across the full ML lifecycle—from data ingestion and training to deployment, monitoring, and iterative refinement.
• Explore and implement advanced ML approaches including LLM-based systems for content moderation, recommendation, and user engagement optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, MLOps, Backend Platform, and Product teams to bridge technical execution with business needs.
• Act as a technical leader on ML initiatives, influencing engineering practices and raising the overall ML maturity of the organization.
• Communicate complex ML concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and provide pedagogical support to cross-functional teams.
• Operate under ambiguity to structure and solve complex problems, balancing speed of delivery with long-term system robustness.
• Contribute to the evolution of Yubo’s ML platform by standardizing practices, improving model lifecycle management, and enhancing deployment pipelines.
• In the first six months, deliver at least one end-to-end ML use case, refactor and retrain one legacy safety model, improve monitoring of production systems, and build reusable components to increase team efficiency.
• Handle tools and features involving personal data with strong awareness of privacy and safety by design principles.
• Participate in monthly team events and work within a hybrid model requiring two days per month in the Paris office.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in ML/Data with work on large-scale datasets (hundreds of gigabytes)
• Strong expertise in modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX)
• High proficiency in Python and the Python data ecosystem
• Practical experience with neural networks and LLM-based systems
• Proven track record in production ML systems, not just research
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end ML lifecycle (data → training → deployment → monitoring)
