đź“‹ Description
- • Serve as the deep functional expert on NetSuite’s financial modules including GL, AP, AR, Revenue Recognition, Fixed Assets, ARM, SuiteBilling, and Consolidations, ensuring optimal configuration and alignment with accounting and finance operations.
- • Partner directly with Accounting, Finance, and Engineering teams to translate complex business needs into practical, native NetSuite solutions, prioritizing out-of-the-box capabilities before proposing custom development.
- • Own the functional “what and why” (and often the “how”) for all NetSuite initiatives, defining business requirements, solution designs, and functional specifications within the NetSuite pod alongside the NetSuite Developer and Administrator.
- • Act as the primary systems liaison for accounting and finance teams during close cycles, audits, and daily operations, reducing manual workarounds and improving reporting visibility through saved searches, dashboards, and SuiteApps.
- • Ensure seamless integration and data flow between NetSuite and adjacent financial systems including custom-built applications, P2P platforms, and ancillary tools, defining clear system boundaries and process handoffs.
- • Leverage technical understanding of SuiteScript, workflows, NetSuite APIs, and SuiteApps to design sound functional solutions and collaborate effectively with developers, even without writing production code.
- • Continuously identify opportunities to automate processes, enhance financial controls, and extend NetSuite’s value by maximizing native features and minimizing reliance on external tools or custom code.
- • Operate within an AI-first environment, actively using and advocating for AI tools like Claude Code and Devin to improve efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in financial systems work.
- • Communicate clearly and adapt messaging across audiences—from accountants to engineers to executives—ensuring alignment and buy-in on functional changes and system improvements.
- • Translate vague or ambiguous business pain points into clear, actionable, and prioritized functional requirements that drive measurable operational improvements.
- • Support the broader financial operations ecosystem by ensuring NetSuite remains a scalable, reliable, and trusted platform as Babylist grows from $500M to over $1B in annual GMV.
- • Contribute to a remote-first culture by collaborating asynchronously and synchronously across the U.S. and Canada, participating in biannual in-person team gatherings to strengthen cross-functional relationships.
