This position is central to meeting the ever-growing demands of the company, ensuring compliance with stringent customer certifications, and adhering to rigorous regulatory assessments, particularly within the sensitive UK Government sector.
- • You will be instrumental in leading the implementation and ongoing support of the UK Government's networking infrastructure. Your expertise will be primarily focused on advanced Cisco platforms, including ACI Switching, Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Wireless solutions, alongside a deep understanding of Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) technologies. A significant aspect of your role will involve ensuring robust Data Center security, implementing and managing advanced security measures to protect sensitive data and systems.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will actively participate in high-impact project teams, contributing your technical insights by meticulously reviewing deployment plans, providing guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers, and working closely with Risk Management and Quality Assurance (QA) departments to ensure seamless and secure production roll-outs. Your input will be crucial in mitigating risks and ensuring the integrity of our network deployments.
- • Driving operational excellence and maintaining unwavering compliance will be a core responsibility. This involves the full lifecycle management of network equipment within our Secure Data Centers. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate capacity reports, ensuring that our infrastructure can scale effectively to meet future demands. Your experience with content delivery platforms like F5 and Riverbed will be vital in optimizing network performance and ensuring high availability for critical applications and services.
- • Proactive problem-solving is a fundamental requirement. You will identify potential network issues before they impact operations, developing and implementing solutions to maintain network stability and performance. Your ability to manage stakeholders effectively, coupled with strong communication skills, will be essential for influencing decisions and driving consensus at all levels of the organization. You will be a trusted advisor, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
