📋 Description
- • Senior Network Engineer responsible for owning the hardest technical problems, leading escalations and security response, and raising the technical standard across the Service Delivery organization at Black Mountain Dynamics LLC.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading advanced troubleshooting for complex network, security, identity, endpoint, SaaS, and infrastructure issues; mentoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers; creating and maintaining technical documentation in Hudu; coordinating incident response for critical security events; serving as a senior escalation point for NOC and after-hours alerts; and ensuring secure, well-documented execution of network changes and firewall policies.
- • Black Mountain Dynamics secures, deploys, and supports IT infrastructure for startups, venture-backed companies, and growing organizations, emphasizing security, performance, documentation, operational resilience, and high-touch service delivery.
- • The role offers opportunities to grow into broader technical leadership positions such as Senior Infrastructure Architect, Principal Engineer, Technical Director, or Security Engineering Lead, while influencing infrastructure strategy, improving operational maturity, and mentoring other engineers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise or MSP/MSSP technical environments
- • Strong experience with network architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs, NAT/PAT, and wireless
- • Experience with networking and security platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Juniper, Ruckus, Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, or similar
- • Strong working knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools such as PRTG, Auvik, SIEM platforms, or related systems
- • Experience supporting cloud identity and SaaS platforms such as JumpCloud, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, SSO/SAML, SCIM, and MDM
- • Ability to lead complex troubleshooting efforts and communicate clearly with clients, vendors, peers, and leadership
