Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the master schedule, workstream tracking, and weekly status reporting for cross-functional strategic initiatives spanning manufacturing, supply chain, systems, construction, and finance.
- • Build rigorous quantitative models from scratch in Excel, including capacity models, unit economics analyses, scenario plans, and operational forecasts without relying on pre-existing templates.
- • Support inventory planning, component lead time tracking, forward-buying models, and MRP inputs on programs where formal systems are not yet established.
- • Produce clean, data-driven answers to critical operational questions — such as build vs. buy decisions, headcount ramping, cost deltas, and throughput sensitivities — with actionable insights, not just frameworks.
- • Own agendas, decision logs, and action item tracking for program cadences, ensuring recurring meetings are efficient, focused, and result-oriented.
- • Serve as a connective tissue across engineering, supply chain, construction, and finance workstreams, translating between functions and flagging misalignments before they escalate.
- • Embed directly in active strategic initiatives that do not fit within a single department, operating with the judgment and initiative of a senior leader.
- • Travel to manufacturing sites, construction locations, and operational facilities to observe processes firsthand and ensure alignment between planning and execution.
- • Draft program updates, decision memos, and leadership materials that are presented to C-suite executives and board-level sponsors with clarity and precision.
- • Identify risks and schedule slippage proactively, preventing surprises by anticipating bottlenecks before they impact timelines or budgets.
- • Operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where processes are being built in parallel with execution, requiring adaptability and initiative.
- • Maintain accountability for accurate use of AI tools in analysis and reporting, applying a "trust but verify" approach to all outputs.
- • Collaborate with program leads, manufacturing and design engineers, supply chain leadership, construction and site management, and embedded VC/PE investor operations teams.
- • Work 5 days per week in the San Francisco office with a reasonable amount of travel to operational sites; this is not a remote role.
- • Be boots on the ground — expected to engage directly with factory floors, construction sites, and supply chain operations, not remain desk-bound.
- • Contribute to initiatives that span the full AI infrastructure stack, from energy sourcing to data center deployment, supporting Crusoe’s vertically integrated model.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, industrial engineering, or roles with a heavy operational focus
- • Demonstrated ability to build rigorous spreadsheet models from scratch in Excel
- • Exposure to manufacturing or supply chain scaling, including experience with challenges when transitioning from low-volume to high-volume operations
- • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving operational environments where processes are being built in parallel with execution
- • Strong written communication skills to draft program updates, decision memos, and materials for senior leadership including C-suite and board-level sponsors
- • Comfort using AI tools and accountability for accurate results/reporting — applying a "trust but verify" approach
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive compensation and equity packages including Restricted Stock Units
- • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
- • Employer contributions to HSA account
- • Paid parental leave
- • 401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salary
- • Daily meals allowance
