Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end operational roadmap for OKX’s Northeast Asia expansion, translating high-level business goals into executable, data-driven initiatives that grow daily active users, trading volume and institutional adoption across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
  • • Design and continuously refine a localized market-entry playbook that balances global OKX standards with nuanced regional requirements—covering licensing, fiat on-ramps, payment rails, language localization, customer support SLAs and culturally relevant marketing campaigns.
  • • Build and lead a cross-functional task force of product managers, engineers, compliance officers, marketers and customer-success leads; run weekly OKRs, sprint reviews and retros to ensure every squad is aligned on KPIs such as user activation rate, funnel conversion, cost-per-acquisition and monthly proof-of-reserves transparency scores.
  • • Monitor real-time dashboards that track competitor moves, regulatory bulletins and macro-economic indicators across the NEA region; turn insights into rapid experiments—A/B testing new KYC flows, referral incentives, staking rewards or NFT launchpads—and scale the winners to 10Ă— impact within 30 days.
  • • Partner with the Legal & Compliance team to interpret evolving crypto regulations (e.g., Japan’s PSA/FSA updates, Korea’s Travel Rule, Taiwan’s AML 5.0) and translate them into operational SOPs that protect users while minimizing friction; maintain a live risk register and quarterly audit trail.
  • • Spearhead user-acquisition campaigns that blend Web2 precision (paid social, programmatic, KOL seeding) with Web3 authenticity (AMA Twitter Spaces, Discord quests, governance token airdrops); negotiate win-win deals with local neobanks, game studios and e-commerce giants to embed OKX wallet SDKs.
  • • Optimize the entire customer lifecycle—from first-touch landing page to institutional custody onboarding—by mapping pain points, reducing drop-offs and automating support via AI chatbots and multilingual help centers; target <2 min first-response time and 95 % CSAT.
  • • Collaborate with Finance & Treasury to manage regional liquidity pools, fiat ramps and stablecoin reserves; design dynamic fee schedules and staking APYs that maximize both user value and margin contribution while remaining compliant with local securities guidelines.
  • • Drive operational excellence through Lean Six Sigma: run Kaizen events, eliminate waste in KYC/KYT workflows, cut average onboarding time from 15 min to <5 min and save $2 M+ annual run-rate through smart routing of blockchain gas fees.
  • • Present monthly business reviews to the Operations Director and C-suite, translating complex metrics into concise narratives that influence budget allocation, headcount planning and product roadmap prioritization across the global organization.
  • • Champion OKX’s “proof-of-reserves” culture by embedding transparency checkpoints into every operational process—publishing Merkle-tree attestations, third-party audit results and open-source toolkits that reinforce user trust and differentiate OKX from less-transparent competitors.
  • • Mentor a high-performing team of operations analysts and junior PMs; create individualized learning paths, sponsor attendance at regional crypto conferences and foster an inclusive culture where bold ideas are rewarded and failures are treated as data.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of operations, growth or strategy experience in fintech, crypto exchanges or high-growth consumer tech; proven track record of scaling products across Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or Hong Kong.
  • • Native or business-fluent proficiency in at least one NEA language (Japanese, Korean or Mandarin) plus excellent English communication skills.
  • • Deep familiarity with regional crypto regulations, payment rails (JCB, Shinhan, LINE Pay, Octopus) and local user behaviors.
  • • Strong analytical mindset—comfortable writing SQL, building Tableau/Looker dashboards and translating data into actionable insights.
  • • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment; experience with OKRs, Agile sprints and stakeholder management.
  • • Nice-to-have: existing network of regional KOLs, neobanks, game studios or institutional brokers; prior experience launching compliant crypto products under FSA, FSS or SFC oversight.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Fully remote-first culture with quarterly team off-sites in Tokyo, Seoul or Taipei.
  • • Competitive token-incentive package plus annual performance bonus paid in USDT.
  • • Flexible PTO policy and “crypto Fridays” where the entire company logs off at 2 p.m. local time.
  • • Annual learning stipend of $5,000 for certifications, conferences or language courses.
  • • Premium medical, dental and vision coverage for you and your dependents, anywhere in the world.
