📋 Description

• Senior or Principal Software Engineer role focused on Red Hat Linux Virtualization, responsible for driving CI/CD strategy and ensuring quality is shifted left into the development process for virtualization components in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the architecture and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, designing and maintaining scalable test frameworks, triaging complex system failures by analyzing kernel panics and QEMU logs, developing tooling to track hypervisor performance regressions, and collaborating within a distributed agile team.
• Part of a geographically distributed team at Red Hat, working with engineering teams and open-source communities globally on industry-leading technologies like RHEL, OpenShift Virtualization, CentOS Stream, and Fedora, offering exposure to top-tier open-source engineers.
• Opportunity to deepen expertise in low-level virtualization stack, contribute to critical open-source projects, and grow as a technical leader in system-level engineering within a culture that values innovation, inclusion, and technical excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ or 8+ years of experience in testing virtualization stack and related technologies
• Strong proficiency with Python and automated testing technologies such as Jenkins or equivalent
• Experience with software testing frameworks like Avocado, pytest, or similar
• Working experience in Linux testing and debugging
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
