This role is essential to maintaining end-to-end finance data pipelines, enabling accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making through optimized system performance and seamless integrations.
- • The person will be responsible for advanced technical and functional administration of Oracle Fusion EPM (EPBCS) and ERP modules, including configuring backend scripts, designing business rules and calc scripts, building integrations via OIC, managing master data in EDMCS, and supporting financial close processes, reporting, and system migrations across environments.
- • Velera is a mission-driven fintech CUSO dedicated to accelerating partners’ success through innovative financial technology solutions and inspired service, operating with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee well-being in a remote-first work environment.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud technologies, gain end-to-end ownership of finance system operations, and develop leadership capabilities in process automation, data governance, and cross-functional collaboration—positioning them as a trusted advisor in enterprise financial systems.
- • Configure backend scripts in Oracle EPM (EPBCS) to ingest, normalize, and transform financial and statistical datasets from upstream source systems, ensuring data integrity and timeliness for downstream analytics.
- • Create and maintain dimensions, hierarchies, and metadata in EDMCS, loading both transactional and metadata into Oracle Fusion EPM and ERP to enable accurate reporting and business decision support across finance functions.
- • Design and implement modern business rules and calculation scripts within EPM reporting cubes (EPBCS) to support dynamic planning, forecasting, and what-if analysis aligned with organizational financial goals.
- • Develop accurate planning and forecasting forms in EPBCS, assigning appropriate business rules and calc scripts to ensure consistency, usability, and alignment with budgeting cycles and financial close requirements.
- • Build and deploy robust integration processes using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to connect upstream source systems with downstream applications, enabling automated, secure, and scalable data flows for accounting and finance reporting.
- • Govern and synchronize EDMCS-to-EPM and ERP integrations, ensuring master data consistency, proper version control, and alignment across development, test, and production environments to prevent reporting discrepancies.
- • Establish and monitor job schedules for automated processes, configuring alerts and notifications to stakeholders to ensure timely execution and rapid issue resolution in production and non-production environments.
- • Design, build, and automate financial and statistical reports, including setting up bursting and distribution mechanisms to deliver timely insights to end-users via email, portals, or scheduled delivery.
- • Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of Oracle Fusion applications in both production and non-production environments, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to enhance system responsiveness and scalability.
- • Execute application cloning and migration of backend artifacts between test and production systems, ensuring configuration consistency, minimal downtime, and adherence to change management protocols.
- • Configure and manage security access controls in Oracle Fusion, assigning users to appropriate roles and groups based on least-privilege principles and conducting regular access reviews for compliance.
- • Support and configure core ERP financial modules (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Projects), including job scheduling, data mapping, and close-cycle runbooks to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
- • Develop and maintain Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher (BIP) reports, covering dataset design, parameterization, scheduling, and ongoing operational support to meet evolving reporting needs.
- • Perform quarterly and monthly maintenance activities, coordinating data patches, updates, and upgrades while documenting impacts on integrations, reporting, and system performance for audit and continuity purposes.
- • Maintain operational continuity by creating and updating detailed runbooks, conducting cross-training sessions, and delivering end-user training on data access, retrieval methods, and newly deployed capabilities in EPM and ERP systems.
- • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and automation opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support the scalability of finance operations.
- • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external clients, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment between system capabilities and business objectives.
- • Stay current with Oracle Fusion Cloud updates, new features, and best practices through continuous learning, certification pursuit, and participation in Oracle user communities and training programs.
