📋 Description

  • Deel is at the forefront of revolutionizing global employment, offering a comprehensive HR and payroll platform designed for the modern, distributed workforce. Our mission is to empower businesses of all sizes to hire, manage, and pay talent anywhere in the world, compliantly and efficiently. As a rapidly growing SaaS company with a significant global footprint, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Partner Manager to establish and lead our partnership initiatives in Japan.
  • This is a unique opportunity to build Deel's partner ecosystem from the ground up in a key strategic market. You will be instrumental in defining and executing the partnership strategy, identifying and nurturing relationships with key players across various channels, including referral, reseller, white-label, and distribution. Your role will be pivotal in driving Deel's growth and market penetration in Japan, making this a foundational and high-impact position.
  • As the first dedicated partnerships hire in Japan, you will have the autonomy and responsibility to shape the future of our partner program. This involves not only strategic planning but also hands-on execution, from initial partner recruitment and onboarding to ongoing enablement and relationship management. You will be expected to foster a collaborative environment, ensuring our partners are well-equipped to represent Deel and drive mutual success.
  • Success in this role will be measured by tangible outcomes, including the number of activated partners, the pipeline generated through partner channels, and the direct contribution to Deel's Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). You will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, customer success, and leadership to ensure seamless integration and alignment of partner activities with Deel's overall business objectives.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Japanese market, a robust network within the local partner ecosystem, and a proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You should be adept at navigating complex business landscapes, identifying strategic opportunities, and building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Key responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of partner management. This includes identifying potential partners who align with Deel's vision and offerings, developing compelling value propositions for each partner type, and executing recruitment strategies to build a diverse and effective ecosystem. You will also be responsible for creating and delivering comprehensive enablement programs to ensure partners have the knowledge and resources needed to succeed.
  • Furthermore, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the partner program, including performance tracking, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting. You will act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration and co-selling. Your ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and maintain a sharp focus on achieving key performance indicators will be crucial.
  • This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong commercial acumen and a passion for building and scaling businesses. You will be expected to contribute to the broader Deel strategy for the Japan market, providing insights and feedback based on your interactions with the partner ecosystem. Your efforts will directly contribute to Deel's mission of unlocking global opportunity and transforming the future of work.
  • The Senior Partner Manager will be a key player in Deel's expansion in Japan, working to establish Deel as the leading platform for global HR and payroll solutions. This involves understanding the unique needs of businesses operating internationally and demonstrating how Deel's platform can address these challenges through strategic partnerships.
  • You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with a variety of partner types, including HR consultancies, accounting firms, legal service providers, technology integrators, and other relevant entities that serve businesses looking to hire and manage international workforces. The goal is to create a robust network that drives qualified leads and facilitates Deel's market adoption.
  • Collaboration is key. You will work hand-in-hand with Deel's sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs of partner-generated leads and to support joint go-to-market initiatives. You will also partner with the marketing team to develop co-branded collateral, campaigns, and events that raise awareness and generate demand within the partner ecosystem.
  • The customer success team will be another critical internal partner, ensuring that clients acquired through partnerships receive exceptional service and support, fostering long-term loyalty and advocacy. Your ability to influence and align these diverse internal functions will be vital to the success of the partner program.
  • Ultimately, this role is about building a sustainable and scalable revenue stream through strategic alliances. You will be empowered to innovate, experiment, and adapt your strategies as the market evolves, ensuring Deel remains agile and competitive in the dynamic landscape of global HR technology.
