• • As a Solution Architect specializing in Network & Connectivity at Fivetran, you will be at the forefront of enabling secure and reliable data access for our global clientele. This customer-facing role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers can seamlessly and securely connect their data sources to Fivetran's powerful data integration platform. You will engage with customers through a structured ticketing system, responding to pre-qualified requests that require expert design and guidance on establishing robust network connectivity.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to architect, validate, and oversee the implementation of networking resources essential for both Fivetran's SaaS and Hybrid products. This involves a deep dive into private connectivity solutions, network isolation strategies, secure data flow protocols, and the intricate authentication and credential mechanisms required to establish and maintain these critical connections across diverse cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
• • You will act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating directly with customer security, network, and platform teams. Your expertise will guide them through complex architectural decisions, help them navigate security trade-offs, and provide detailed implementation guidance. The technologies you'll work with are cutting-edge and include PrivateLink / Private Service Connect, VPNs (site-to-site and client), SSH tunneling (direct and reverse), subnet peering, proxy agents, and sophisticated hybrid networking patterns.
• • This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of networking fundamentals. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting complex networking, connectivity, and security issues that may impact data pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency for our customers.
• • Beyond direct customer engagement, you will foster strong partnerships with internal teams, including Customer Support, Customer Success, Field Sales, Product, and Engineering. This collaboration is crucial for ensuring that customer connectivity requirements are met efficiently, securely, and in alignment with Fivetran's product roadmap and best practices.
• • You will be responsible for producing clear, concise, and comprehensive architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and customer-facing documentation. This ensures that knowledge is effectively transferred and that customers have the resources they need for successful adoption and ongoing operation.
• • A key aspect of this role involves identifying recurring customer challenges related to connectivity and security. You will provide valuable feedback to the Product and Engineering teams, highlighting connectivity-related gaps and suggesting opportunities for improvement, thereby directly influencing the future development of Fivetran's offerings.
• • The position requires a strong understanding of cloud networking services within major providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as a solid grasp of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, CIDR, and NAT. Experience with Linux/Unix environments and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts are also essential.
• • You will play a vital role in validating proposed architectures against customer security, compliance, and operational requirements, ensuring that all solutions meet the highest standards. This includes a strong understanding of security concepts like network isolation, least privilege, and defense in depth.
• • The role is full-time and remote, based in India, with working hours aligned with EMEA business hours (1:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST). This unique schedule allows for effective collaboration with our European customer base while offering flexibility for remote work.
