Leveraging cutting-edge AI tools and a robust, proprietary payroll infrastructure, Deel empowers businesses to scale efficiently, compliantly, and rapidly in over 150 countries.
- • As a Senior Payroll Associate based in Greece, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our payroll operations. This is a critical individual contributor position where you will take direct ownership of complex payroll processing tasks, acting as a subject matter expert and a guiding force for junior members of the payroll team. Your deep technical understanding of payroll systems, local Greek labor laws, and international payroll best practices will be essential for success.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass the meticulous oversight of payroll data processing for our diverse employee base. This involves maintaining the integrity and accuracy of employee records, ensuring all information related to salaries, hours worked, deductions, and other compensation elements is precisely captured and updated. You will be instrumental in verifying and reconciling employee data, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the highest standards of data accuracy.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves assisting with payroll tax calculations and filings, ensuring adherence to all relevant Greek tax regulations and deadlines. You will be a key point of contact for employees, providing expert support and clear guidance on payroll-related inquiries and issues, fostering a positive and informed employee experience. Your ability to translate complex payroll information into understandable terms will be highly valued.
- • Ensuring unwavering compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations, both local to Greece and any international standards relevant to our global operations, will be a paramount duty. You will stay abreast of legislative changes and implement necessary adjustments to our processes to maintain full compliance. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to and lead the implementation of new payroll processes, systems, and best practices, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the payroll function.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing, globally recognized SaaS company that is fundamentally reshaping the future of work. You will be part of a dynamic, international team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. The impact of your work will directly influence the financial well-being and operational efficiency of thousands of employees and businesses worldwide.
- • You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, leveraging your experience to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and enhance the overall efficiency of payroll operations. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Finance, and Engineering, to ensure seamless integration and data flow across different systems and departments.
- • The Senior Payroll Associate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for payroll procedures, policies, and system configurations. This documentation will serve as a critical resource for training new team members and ensuring consistency in payroll processing across the organization.
- • By taking ownership of critical payroll functions and contributing to strategic process improvements, you will significantly enhance Deel's ability to deliver exceptional payroll services to its global clientele. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced payroll professional seeking to make a substantial impact within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of international payroll, ensuring that employees across different regions are paid accurately and on time, while adhering to local statutory requirements. This includes managing different pay frequencies, currency conversions, and statutory deductions specific to various jurisdictions where Deel operates.
- • You will act as a trusted advisor to the payroll team and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on payroll-related matters. Your ability to anticipate potential issues and develop proactive solutions will be a key differentiator in this role, contributing to the overall success and reputation of Deel's payroll services.
- • This position offers a challenging yet rewarding career path, providing exposure to a wide range of payroll challenges and opportunities for professional development within a leading fintech and HR tech company.
