This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a hyper-growth SaaS company that is at the forefront of the future of work, enabling businesses worldwide to scale smarter, faster, and more compliantly.
- • In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for employees in India. This includes meticulously overseeing the processing of all payroll data, ensuring that every detail from salaries, hours worked, to deductions is accurately captured and reflected. Your responsibility extends to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of employee records within our payroll systems, serving as a trusted source of truth for critical workforce information.
- • A core aspect of your duties will involve the verification and reconciliation of employee data. You will conduct thorough checks to ensure consistency and accuracy between various data points, including but not limited to, salary adjustments, overtime calculations, leave entitlements, and statutory deductions. This meticulous approach is crucial for maintaining compliance and preventing errors that could impact our employees.
- • You will be deeply involved in the complex calculations and filings related to Indian payroll taxes. This requires a robust understanding of the Indian tax regime, including TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), PF (Provident Fund), ESI (Employees' State Insurance), and other applicable labor laws. Your expertise will ensure that Deel remains compliant with all statutory tax obligations, mitigating risks and ensuring smooth operations.
- • Providing exceptional support to employees is paramount. You will serve as a primary point of contact for employees in India, addressing their payroll-related questions, concerns, and issues with clarity, empathy, and efficiency. This includes explaining pay slips, clarifying deduction policies, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
- • A significant part of your role will be to champion and ensure strict compliance with all Indian payroll laws and regulations. This involves staying abreast of any changes in legislation, updating payroll processes accordingly, and proactively identifying and mitigating compliance risks. Your vigilance will safeguard the company and its employees.
- • Beyond day-to-day processing, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our payroll operations. This involves identifying inefficiencies, proposing and implementing process enhancements, and leveraging technology to streamline workflows. Your insights will be invaluable in optimizing our payroll function for scalability and accuracy.
- • As a Senior Associate, you are expected to provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the payroll team. This includes sharing your knowledge, assisting with their development, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Your leadership will be key to the growth and success of the team.
- • Deel's mission is to unlock global opportunity for every person, team, and business. By ensuring our Indian payroll operations are seamless and compliant, you will directly contribute to this vision, enabling businesses to hire and manage talent globally with confidence. You will be part of a company that is not just building software, but shaping the future of work, making a tangible impact on the lives of millions of workers worldwide.
- • This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure a holistic approach to employee management and compensation. Your contributions will be recognized and valued in a company that is experiencing unprecedented growth and success, as evidenced by its rapid rise in the SaaS industry and significant valuation.
- • You will be empowered to take ownership, make decisions, and drive initiatives that have a direct impact on our global operations. This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to accelerate your career, develop deep expertise in global payroll and HR, and become a leader in the ongoing transformation of the world of work.
