  • • Deel is at the forefront of revolutionizing global employment, offering an all-in-one payroll and HR platform designed for the modern, distributed workforce. Our mission is to unlock global opportunity for every individual, team, and business, empowering companies to scale smarter, faster, and more compliantly across 150+ countries. As a rapidly growing SaaS company with a valuation of $17.3 billion and $1 billion in ARR, Deel is not just building software; we are architecting the future of work, fostering a more diverse and inclusive global economy. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Associate with a specific focus on Malaysian payroll to join our dynamic team.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will be an integral individual contributor, taking full ownership of complex payroll processing activities. Your responsibilities will extend beyond execution to include providing essential guidance and mentorship to junior members of the payroll team. This position demands a profound technical understanding of payroll systems, intricate Malaysian payroll laws, and regulatory compliance. You will be instrumental in identifying and implementing process improvements, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all payroll operations within your purview.
  • • Your core responsibilities will encompass overseeing the end-to-end processing of payroll data for our diverse employee base. This includes meticulous maintenance of accurate employee records, ensuring all information related to salaries, hours worked, deductions, and other relevant compensation components is up-to-date and precise. A critical aspect of your role will involve the verification and reconciliation of employee data, cross-referencing various sources to guarantee data integrity and identify any discrepancies.
  • • You will be directly involved in the accurate calculation of Malaysian payroll taxes and will be responsible for timely filings, ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements. Furthermore, you will serve as a key point of contact for employees, providing expert support and clear resolutions for any payroll-related inquiries or issues they may encounter. Your ability to communicate complex payroll information in an understandable manner will be crucial.
  • • A significant part of this role involves ensuring unwavering compliance with all applicable Malaysian payroll laws and regulations. This requires staying abreast of legislative changes and proactively adapting our processes to maintain compliance. You will also play a leadership role in the implementation of new payroll processes, systems, and technologies, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our payroll infrastructure. This includes evaluating new tools, developing implementation plans, and training team members on updated procedures.
  • • As a Senior Associate, you are expected to demonstrate initiative in identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions. You will contribute to the development of best practices within the payroll department and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your analytical skills will be vital in reviewing payroll reports, identifying trends, and providing insights to management. You will collaborate closely with other departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with broader company operations.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, globally distributed environment, contributing to a company that is actively shaping the future of work. You will gain exposure to a wide range of payroll challenges and solutions, enhancing your expertise and career trajectory. The impact of your work will directly influence the financial well-being and satisfaction of our global workforce, making this a highly rewarding position for a dedicated payroll professional.
  • • We are looking for an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong leadership potential and a commitment to excellence. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and maintain a high level of accuracy will be essential for success in this role. Joining Deel means becoming part of a company that values innovation, collaboration, and employee growth, offering a truly transformative career experience.
