- • Deel is at the forefront of revolutionizing global employment, offering an all-in-one payroll and HR platform designed for the modern, distributed workforce. Our mission is to unlock global opportunity for every individual, team, and business, empowering companies to scale smarter, faster, and more compliantly across more than 150 countries. As the fastest-growing SaaS company in history, we are not just building software; we are architecting the future of work, fostering a more diverse and inclusive global economy. In 2024 alone, Deel facilitated over $11.2 billion in payments to workers worldwide, spanning nearly 100 currencies, and provided essential healthcare and benefits to employees in 109 countries, ensuring global talent is both paid and protected.
- • As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our payroll operations within the Netherlands and potentially across other EMEA regions. This is a critical individual contributor role where you will take direct ownership of complex payroll processing activities. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of employee records, verifying intricate payroll data, and ensuring adherence to all relevant Dutch and European payroll laws and regulations. You will be a key point of contact for employees seeking assistance with payroll-related inquiries, providing clear and timely support.
- • Your responsibilities will extend beyond routine processing. You will be tasked with leading the implementation of new payroll processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving efficiency gains. This involves a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous enhancement of our payroll infrastructure. You will also be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the payroll team, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster their development and ensure consistent team performance. This leadership aspect is crucial as Deel continues its rapid global expansion.
- • Key duties include meticulously overseeing the processing of payroll data for employees, ensuring all inputs are accurate and timely. This involves maintaining up-to-date and precise employee records, which form the foundation of reliable payroll. A significant part of your role will be to verify and reconcile employee data, scrutinizing details such as salaries, hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and various deductions (taxes, social security, benefits, etc.) to prevent errors and ensure fairness.
- • You will be actively involved in payroll tax calculations and filings, working to ensure that all statutory requirements are met accurately and on schedule. This requires a strong understanding of the Dutch tax system and its implications for payroll. Furthermore, you will act as a subject matter expert, providing essential support to employees who have questions or encounter issues related to their pay, benefits, or deductions. Your ability to communicate complex payroll information in an understandable manner will be highly valued.
- • A core component of this role is ensuring unwavering compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations specific to the Netherlands and any other relevant jurisdictions within the EMEA region. This includes staying abreast of changes in legislation and proactively adapting our processes to maintain compliance. You will also take the lead in implementing new payroll processes and systems, contributing to the technological advancement and operational excellence of Deel's payroll function. This might involve testing new features, training colleagues, or documenting new procedures.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a hyper-growth company that is fundamentally changing the landscape of global employment. You will be part of a dynamic, globally distributed team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Your work will directly impact the financial well-being of our employees and the operational success of our clients. The fast-paced environment at Deel, coupled with its significant market momentum and valuation, provides an exceptional platform for career acceleration and professional development in the exciting field of global HR and payroll.
