📋 Description

  • As a Senior Payroll Manager at Juniper Square, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of global payroll operations across the U.S., Canada, and international subsidiaries, directly supporting the company’s mission to unlock the potential of private markets through technology-driven efficiency and transparency.
  • You will own end-to-end payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, manage equity administration, lead compliance efforts, and drive process improvements while serving as a trusted advisor to the People team and employees worldwide.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing U.S. and Canadian payroll cycles, validating international payroll data via EOR partners, resolving employee inquiries, preparing payroll and equity reports, ensuring timely tax filings (e.g., 941, W-2, T4), maintaining compliance with evolving federal, state, provincial, and international regulations, and supporting external audits for Workers Compensation and 401(k) plans.
  • You will collaborate closely with HR and People teams to ensure seamless data integration, clear communication, and accurate processing of wages, deductions, garnishments, and equity-related transactions such as option exercises and terminations in share works systems.
  • The role involves identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities within ADP, maintaining organized payroll records, researching regulatory changes, and developing internal policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy across global operations.
  • Juniper Square operates with a digital-first hybrid model, enabling collaboration across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England, with physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai, and Bangalore, offering flexibility in how and where you work.
  • You will join a values-driven organization committed to making financial markets more accessible and efficient, where your expertise will directly contribute to employee trust and organizational integrity through reliable, compliant payroll services.
  • This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in global payroll compliance, lead cross-border payroll strategy, and grow into a strategic partner within the People function, with exposure to equity administration, international EOR management, and regulatory innovation.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in processing U.S. and Canadian payroll, including experience with international payroll and EOR providers.
  • Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and Canadian federal and provincial payroll regulations (including CPP, EI, income tax).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across time zones with internal and external stakeholders.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Life insurance, mental wellness support, and fertility and growing family benefits.
  • Flex Time Off in addition to company-paid holidays, plus paid family, medical, and bereavement leave.
  • Retirement saving plans, annual professional development stipend, and allowance to customize your home work and technology setup.
