- • As a Senior People Business Partner at Credit Acceptance Corporation, you will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, driving organizational design, talent strategies, and organizational health initiatives that directly support business performance, scalability, and readiness for future transformation—including technology, AI, and digital evolution—ensuring the company maintains its award-winning culture and Great Place to Work status.
- • You will partner with executive and senior leadership across multiple departments to lead workforce planning, organizational design, and role clarity efforts, monitor organizational health, identify structural and leadership risks, and guide leaders through change, transformation, restructuring, and operating model shifts—including automation and AI-driven initiatives—while collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated, business-aligned solutions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include coaching leaders on leadership effectiveness and team performance, using data to drive insights and actions that improve engagement, retention, and performance trends, reinforcing a culture of accountability and ownership, and leading talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning in partnership with the Training and Development team to strengthen talent pipelines and leadership capability.
- • You will support performance management practices that reinforce clear expectations and accountability, partner with the People Advisor (Employee Relations) team on complex team member relations matters, investigations, and performance issues, provide practical guidance on policy, risk, and employment law, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in assigned business areas.
- • You will champion HR initiatives across the business, lead or support organizational effectiveness, talent, and transformation initiatives, influence outcomes across functions without direct authority, share best practices to strengthen the People Business Partner model, and collaborate across HR operations, People Support, Talent Acquisition, and other HR functions to align talent, compensation, and retention strategies with business goals.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in strategic HR partnership, organizational development, change management, and data-driven talent strategy while working with senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; you will gain experience influencing enterprise-wide initiatives, advising on AI and digital transformation impacts on workforce planning, and shaping culture and performance at scale—positioning you as a trusted advisor capable of driving meaningful organizational outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- • 10+ years of experience in human resources, including a minimum of 7+ years in a business partner capacity supporting diverse functional groups.
- • Demonstrated experience working in a strategic HR Business Partner model, supporting senior leaders in fast-paced, high-growth, or transformational environments.
- • Broad understanding of all HR disciplines including organizational development, talent planning, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development, and compensation.
- • 5+ years of experience working with senior levels of management in the development of strategic initiatives, business plans, and resource planning strategies.
- • Experience in building, aligning, and implementing programs and processes to business strategy.
- • Proficient user of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
- • Experience supporting multi-state workforces.
