- ⢠Step in as the interim Senior People Business Partner for FloQastâs Research & Development (R&D) organization during a critical parental-leave window (Oct 13, 2025 â Jan 16, 2026). You will own the full employee lifecycle for roughly 250+ engineers, product managers, and designers, ensuring zero disruption to roadmap velocity while FloQast scales through its next funding milestone.
- ⢠Own and flawlessly execute every cyclical HR program: annual talent planning, promotion calibration, engagement-survey action-planning, performance-review cycles, and year-end compensation/bonus planning. You will translate survey insights into measurable OKRs, coach VPs and Directors on equitable rating distributions, and partner with Finance to model merit budgets that stay within 2% variance of forecast.
- ⢠Serve as the first-line employee-relations consultant. From Slack DM âquick asksâ to complex investigations, you will triage issues within 24 hours, draft investigation summaries, and recommend corrective actions that balance legal risk, culture, and business continuity. Expect 3â5 open ER cases at any given time.
- ⢠Act as strategic thought partner to the VP of Engineering and Head of Product on org design, succession planning, and workforce planning for 2026 hiring. You will map critical roles, identify skill gaps, and create leadership-development pathways that prepare high-potential Staff Engineers for future management tracks.
- ⢠Coach and upskill 25+ managers on feedback delivery, difficult conversations, and inclusive leadership. You will design and facilitate two live virtual workshops (âRadical Candor for Remote Teamsâ and âInclusive 1:1sâ) plus drop-in office hours twice weekly.
- ⢠Lead the rollout of an updated Engineering On-Call policy across four global time zones. Draft policy language, run change-impact analysis, build comms plan, and deliver training to ensure 100% manager attestation within 30 days.
- ⢠Monitor HR dashboards (Turnover, regrettable exit %, eNPS, time-to-fill) and proactively surface trends. Example: if exit-interview data shows 30% attrition risk among Senior Engineers, you will present a retention action plan within one week.
- ⢠Champion FloQastâs culture pillarsââBe an Owner,â âSeek the Truth,â âWin as a Teamââin every program and conversation. You will curate monthly culture spotlights on Slack and coordinate two virtual R&D socials that maintain morale during the holiday season.
- ⢠Ensure end-to-end compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across the US remote footprint. You will audit job descriptions for ADA language, update handbook sections on PTO and leave policies, and file mandatory EEO-1 data before January deadline.
- ⢠Flex to ad-hoc strategic initiatives as they emergeâwhether thatâs building a new career ladder for Data Science, supporting an acquisition integration, or drafting executive talking points for an all-hands on AI ethics.
- ⢠Deliver crisp, executive-ready communications. Expect to summarize complex ER outcomes in three-bullet emails to the CPO and craft all-hands slides that distill survey insights into compelling narratives.
- ⢠Work fully remote on a 1099 contract basis, 40 hours per week, with core collaboration hours 9 amâ3 pm PT. You will join weekly HR leadership stand-ups, bi-weekly R&D staff meetings, and monthly QBRs with Finance.
