� Description

• • Architect, build and continuously evolve the backend systems that serve 4 million+ Hostinger customers across 150 countries. Your code will power everything from e-shops and blogs to SaaS dashboards and internal tooling, handling millions of requests per day with rock-solid reliability.
• • Own the full lifecycle of PHP-based services—from green-field design and RFC writing through coding, automated testing, containerized deployment and post-release monitoring—ensuring every commit raises the bar for performance, security and maintainability.
• • Design and document RESTful APIs that are consumed by React and Vue front-end teams, mobile apps, third-party integrators and AI-driven analytics pipelines. You will define versioning strategies, rate-limiting rules, authentication flows and backward-compatibility policies that keep the ecosystem stable as it scales.
• • Optimize data storage and retrieval across MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch and message queues (RabbitMQ, PubSub, Kafka). You will profile slow queries, introduce caching layers, shard tables and tune indices so that 99th-percentile latency stays under 100 ms even during traffic spikes.
• • Integrate external services—payment gateways, domain registrars, email providers, CDN partners—via resilient adapters that handle network failures, idempotency and eventual consistency. You will write adapters once and reuse them across products, saving weeks of duplicated effort.
• • Champion clean-code practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, dependency injection, comprehensive unit and end-to-end tests, and peer reviews that raise the collective skill level of the squad. You will mentor mid-level developers and lead architecture guilds.
• • Collaborate daily with Product Owners, UX designers, DevOps and QA in a cross-functional squad that ships to production multiple times per day. You will participate in sprint planning, story estimation, blameless post-mortems and OKR reviews.
• • Monitor production health using Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry and custom dashboards. You will set SLIs/SLOs, write runbooks, respond to alerts and conduct chaos drills to ensure 99.9 % uptime for critical paths such as checkout, domain transfer and SSL issuance.
• • Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new PHP versions, Laravel features, serverless patterns and cloud-native tooling. You will run proof-of-concepts, present findings to the guild and drive adoption when the business case is clear.
• • Contribute to the company-wide microservice roadmap—splitting monoliths, defining service boundaries, choosing inter-service protocols (gRPC, GraphQL, REST) and implementing distributed tracing—so that Hostinger can double in size without doubling in complexity.
• • Write and maintain public and internal technical documentation that enables other teams to integrate with your services in minutes, not days. You will also speak at internal tech talks and occasionally at global conferences like Laracon or PHP[tek].
• • Embrace a culture of feedback and continuous improvement. You will give and receive code reviews, 360° feedback and career coaching that help every teammate reach their next level while keeping customer obsession at the center of every decision.
