- • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHY Algorithm Engineer to join our talented team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and successful delivery of state-of-the-art algorithmic solutions that are integral to Lyte's cutting-edge products. Your expertise will be crucial in translating complex signal processing concepts into efficient, high-performance algorithms tailored for implementation on a variety of hardware platforms, including dedicated hardware accelerators, CPUs, GPUs, and vector DSPs.
- • Your primary responsibility will be the end-to-end development, rigorous optimization, and long-term support of sophisticated, high-performance Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithm pipelines. This involves a deep dive into the intricacies of signal processing, ensuring that our algorithms are not only accurate but also computationally efficient and robust.
- • You will engage in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Digital Front-End design, verification engineers, and embedded DSP software developers. This collaborative effort will span the entire algorithm development lifecycle, from initial concept and modeling through to final implementation and validation, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- • A key aspect of this role involves supporting critical silicon bring-up activities and comprehensive end-to-end system integration. This includes meticulous data analysis, rigorous validation, and close partnership with various engineering disciplines to guarantee that our solutions are not only functional but also production-ready and meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
- • Key responsibilities include:
- • Researching, designing, and developing advanced signal processing algorithms specifically for sensing applications, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Physical AI.
- • Defining, meticulously documenting, and maintaining clear algorithmic specifications and comprehensive technical documentation to ensure clarity, reproducibility, and future maintainability.
- • Performing detailed fixed-point analysis and modeling to facilitate efficient and accurate hardware (HW) and software (SW) implementations, crucial for embedded systems.
- • Developing and executing end-to-end algorithm pipeline simulations using industry-standard tools such as MATLAB and/or Python, to model, test, and refine algorithm behavior.
- • Conducting thorough algorithm performance evaluation and validation at both individual block and system levels within sophisticated simulation environments.
- • Optimizing platform and hardware architectures, with a strategic focus on effective Hardware/Software partitioning to maximize performance and efficiency.
- • Collaborating proactively and closely with front-end design, verification, architecture, software, and system teams throughout the entire development lifecycle, fostering a cohesive and productive engineering environment.
- • Contributing to the silicon bring-up process and system integration, ensuring the seamless transition from design to deployed product.
- • Analyzing data and validating algorithm performance in real-world or simulated scenarios, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience in algorithm development, spanning concept, modeling, and implementation, for signal processing and/or advanced communication systems.
- • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C/C++ for the development, integration, and validation of algorithms within end-to-end DSP pipelines.
- • Demonstrated expertise in fixed-point design and implementation of computationally intensive algorithms, including the delivery of bit-exact and cycle-accurate fixed-point models and detailed specifications.
- • Proven experience collaborating with Digital Front-End designers, verification engineers, and embedded DSP software developers, including the generation of test vectors to enable bit-exact algorithm implementations in RTL and embedded software.
- • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field (Preferred).
- • Experience in algorithm development and data analysis across application domains such as automotive systems, IoT, robotics, and multimodal sensor platforms (Preferred).
- • Strong foundation in signal processing, including spectrum analysis, filter design, estimation and detection theory, and optimization techniques (Preferred).
- • Experience developing computer vision and machine learning algorithms, including clustering, tracking, classification, and 3D point-cloud processing (Preferred).
- • Proven experience porting and optimizing DSP algorithms for dedicated HW accelerators and heterogeneous CPU DSP GPU architectures, with particular emphasis on radar and LiDAR sensor applications (Preferred).
