- • The Senior Platform Consultant role at Red Hat Consulting Services in Spain focuses on delivering expert-level implementation of Red Hat’s AppDev, infrastructure, and cloud technologies, with a strong emphasis on OpenShift and related platforms, to ensure successful customer outcomes and technical excellence.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing automated, containerized cloud application platforms; serving as a subject matter expert on-site; managing problem identification, system architecture, software design, testing, training, and deployment; responding to incidents professionally; delivering timely, scoped project results; and supporting peers in developing best practices around OpenShift and DevOps.
- • You will join Red Hat’s global Consulting Services team, a leader in enterprise open source solutions, working remotely from Spain (preferably Madrid) with up to 50% travel to customer sites across Europe, contributing to mission-critical digital transformations using Kubernetes, CI/CD, service mesh, and automation technologies.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Red Hat’s full stack—including OpenShift, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Tekton, Keycloak, Istio, Ansible, and more—while gaining broad exposure to enterprise architectures, improving customer-facing consulting skills, and advancing your ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in a consulting role working directly with enterprise stakeholders on development and deployment projects
- • Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies and hands-on experience implementing container technologies (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift) in enterprise settings
- • Experience onboarding applications onto cloud/platforms using DevOps, CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD), and application lifecycle management practices
- • Proficiency with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), service mesh (Istio), and related tools including Ansible, automation, and programming languages (Go, Python, Java)
- • Strong customer-facing skills: ability to present, lead interactions, communicate value and metrics to technical and business stakeholders
- • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills; fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer engagements
