📋 Description

• The Senior Pricing Operations Manager at Fivetran ensures pricing policies are accurately reflected and consistently executed across Salesforce CPQ, ERP, and other quoting systems, directly enabling the sales team to quote with confidence and supporting the company’s mission to make data access as simple and reliable as electricity.
• This role is critical to revenue integrity and go-to-market efficiency, translating strategic pricing decisions into operational system configurations while serving as a trusted advisor to Sales and Deal Desk on pricing scenarios and best practices.
• Day to day, the Senior Pricing Operations Manager will translate approved pricing policies—including discounts, promotions, bundles, and special terms—into detailed business requirements for the GTM systems team to build configurable rules within Salesforce CPQ, ERP, and related pricing systems.
• They will define pricing matrices, discount waterfalls, product catalogs, approval flows, and quoting templates to ensure pricing accuracy and consistency across all customer touchpoints.
• The role involves close partnership with the Proposal-to-Order Lead and IT/Systems teams to design, test, and troubleshoot pricing configurations within the CPQ framework, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• They will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for pricing-related system configurations and policies, creating a single source of truth for internal teams.
• The manager will identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in pricing logic and quoting processes, driving continuous optimization of the quote-to-cash cycle.
• As a subject matter expert, they will provide training and enablement for sales teams on new pricing policies, system updates, and pricing best practices, ensuring field readiness and adoption.
• They will gather feedback from Sales, Customer Success, and field teams on pricing effectiveness, customer sentiment, and operational challenges, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations.
• By analyzing recurring themes and pain points, they will collaborate with Pricing Strategy, Product, and Sales leadership to inform future pricing and packaging decisions with real-world operational insights.
• The role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in SaaS pricing methodologies, CPQ system configuration, and revenue operations while contributing to the financial health and scalability of a high-growth, publicly valued technology company.
• Success in this role means enabling faster, more accurate quoting, reducing pricing errors, improving sales productivity, and directly supporting Fivetran’s growth trajectory through operational excellence in pricing execution.

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in Pricing Operations, Sales Operations, or a similar analytical role, preferably in B2B SaaS or technology.
• Proven experience defining pricing rules and partnering with engineers to implement them in CRM/CPQ systems (Salesforce CPQ preferred; Oracle CPQ, Zuora CPQ also valued).
• Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, discount structures, and SaaS sales motions, usage economics.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communicator who can clearly explain complex pricing concepts to Sales and cross-functional teams.
• Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to pricing accuracy and data integrity.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Hex, Looker, or similar tools for pricing analytics.
