- • Lead commercial and operational ownership of Emma’s product categories (Mattresses, Accessories, Beds, Linens) across the Americas markets, ensuring portfolio performance and strategic alignment with global goals.
- • Translate global category strategy into localized execution across North and South America, adapting product offerings, pricing, promotions, and go-to-market plans to regional consumer behaviors and market dynamics.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between global product teams and Americas market teams, ensuring consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and channel feedback directly inform global product development and strategy.
- • Drive successful product launches in the Americas by coordinating cross-functionally with marketing, sales, logistics, and customer experience teams to ensure seamless execution and optimal market reception.
- • Identify and develop localized or regional product adaptations to address specific consumer needs in individual countries or sub-regions within the Americas, enhancing relevance and competitiveness.
- • Monitor and analyze category performance metrics including sales velocity, margin contribution, inventory turnover, and market share to optimize portfolio health and inform data-driven decisions.
- • Collaborate with global category managers to align on product roadmaps, lifecycle management, and seasonal planning, ensuring regional priorities are integrated into global planning cycles.
- • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and e-commerce platforms across the Americas to maximize product visibility, placement, and sales performance.
- • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, pricing pressures, and innovation opportunities in the sleep industry across the Americas region.
- • Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle of assigned categories, from demand forecasting and inventory planning to post-launch performance reviews and optimization.
- • Champion a data-driven culture by leveraging market analytics, customer feedback, and sales data to continuously refine category strategy and improve decision-making speed and accuracy.
- • Support the evolution of Emma’s Category Management function by contributing to process improvements, feedback loop enhancements, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across global teams.
- • Represent the Americas region in global category reviews, presenting performance insights, market challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- • Foster collaboration across departments including marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure a unified approach to meeting customer needs and driving category growth.
- • Stay informed on regulatory, logistical, and cultural factors impacting product distribution and consumer preferences across diverse markets in the Americas.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar commercial role in consumer goods, D2C, or retail, with direct responsibility for product portfolio performance
- • Deep understanding of the sleep or home goods industry, with familiarity with mattress, bedding, or related product categories
- • Strong analytical skills with experience using sales data, market research, and KPIs to drive commercial decisions
- • Demonstrated ability to translate global strategy into localized execution across multiple markets
