📋 Description

• Design user experiences and interfaces for tax preparation software across web, mobile, and AI-driven touchpoints, adhering to industry standards and best practices
• Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling, end-to-end product experiences using wireframes, user journeys, and interactive prototypes
• Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted tools to rapidly explore, iterate, and validate design concepts
• Design innovative AI-native features that transform how users interact with tax filing, including conversational interfaces, predictive workflows, and agentic experiences
• Define and establish reusable AI-informed design patterns and interaction paradigms applicable across the Taxwell product ecosystem
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, research, and data science teams to define, iterate, and ship features aligned with user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Recommend and measure design success through qualitative and quantitative metrics, using data to prioritize enhancements and justify design decisions
• Present design strategies and recommendations to stakeholders with clarity and persuasion, using storytelling to influence product vision and secure buy-in
• Establish quality standards and guardrails for AI-augmented design outputs, ensuring innovation balances with user trust and ethical responsibility
• Own accountability for the quality and outcomes of all shipped work, whether created manually or with AI assistance
• Reinvent traditional design workflows by integrating AI at the core—abandoning outdated processes and leading team-wide adoption of AI-powered design systems
• Build pipelines and agent-driven workflows that ingest customer feedback, generate design specs, prototype solutions, and enable shipping directly to production
• Demonstrate a clear trajectory of AI fluency: continuously evolving your practice, experimenting with emerging AI capabilities (LLMs, multimodal models, agentic AI), and upskilling peers
• Apply foundational design heuristics and principles while incorporating user research findings and data into every design decision
• Support the full iterative design process: from wireframing and prototyping to user testing and high-fidelity visual delivery
• Accept feedback gracefully while respectfully advocating for design excellence and user-centered outcomes
• Maintain a portfolio showcasing redesigns of design workflows with AI at the center, including shipped AI-powered features with measurable outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing software, web, or mobile native app experiences
• 3+ years of proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
• Deep proficiency with AI-powered design tools and workflows, with a proven track record of integrating AI into the design process and championing adoption
• Experience designing and shipping AI-powered product features (e.g., conversational interfaces, predictive workflows, agentic experiences) to production with real outcomes
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise in UX, Interaction Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field
• Portfolio with a link demonstrating redesign of design workflows using AI as the core enabler
